My new favorite cables for my desktop headphones
really light and non annoying cable. no noise from movement, no chunky split/divider thing. Not ugly or pretending to try too hard to look cool. Cable lays really nice and coils up neatly when not using the headphones.

Excellent 4.5mm to 2 x 3.5mm Balanced Headphone Cable
My iBasso dap offers a balanced output which required me to purchase this cable for my HiFiMan Edition XS headphones. I believe there's at least some hype regarding how wire influences the sound we hear from our audio systems. Some balanced cables are many times more expensive. This <$18 cable definitely improved the sound. First of all, running balanced the headphones receive more power which made them louder at the same volume level. Secondly, the transients on Fleetwood Mac's "Never Going Home Again" are noticeably clearer. The two guitars are more clearly separated and the minor background vocals are, too. Yes, these are sourced from China so it took a month to get here...but it's definitely worth the wait.

Works As Expected And Described
Does exactly what it’s supposed to do and seems to be durable. There’s no way to know that for sure, however since I haven’t owned it that long at this point. But all indications are that it will hold up over time. I use this cable connected to HiFiMan Edition XS headphones and connected to a balanced 4.4mm headphone output. Balanced headphone output from the headphone amp makes quite a bit of difference in power, volume, and quality of sound.

Sounds great, very flexible cable. Works with Hifiman Edition XS headphones
I ordered two different FAAEAL balanced headphone cables from Amazon because I didn't know the length of both of them. Turns out they were the same length (about 59 inches) and matched the length of my original Hifiman unbalanced cable, which is what I wanted. I tested the model with the silver colored plugs first since it better matched the color scheme of my headphones. However, the silver ones seemed duller, more laid back or recessed, than the black colored plugs that I am reviewing here. The black ones sound a touch brighter and detailed with more "life" in them with my ears and equipment. YMMV While I prefer the looks of the silver plugs, the sound performance clinched my decision to keep the black ones. Note that the black left phone connector includes a raised ring to easily discern left from right even in a dark environment. Also notice the pinouts differ between the two models. The silver phone jacks are 3.5mmTRS while the black phone jacks are 3.5mm TS. The silver "RS" contacts are shunted together at one end or the other, so they have the same circuitry as the black TS plugs. Both model's exterior cable diameters are the same, but I don't know if the actual wire gauge is different. Without those specs, I have no explanation why they sound different, but I certainly prefer the black over the silver with my equipment. Hope you find this helpful when you are looking for purchasing information.

Good replacement cable
I busted my old Hifiman Sundara cable by yanking on it too hard, this is working great as a replacement and feels better than the original cable. That might be preference on my part, because I like the cloth feel better than the rubber feel of the original. It fits well, and feels like decent quality.
