Nightmare Before Christmas Sally Women's Short Sleeve Costume Dress

THE FIT AND MATERIAL:I am a size 18 or thereabouts, with a large chest and large back. I was concerned that the dress wouldn't fit me as the largest bust size seemed too small.I needn't have worried.The dress arrived quickly (two days after ordering), and came well packaged with all labels intact - it's a genuine Disney product, which is always reassuring. It is bright, colourful and true to Sally's costume. I am using it for a Halloween party with a Disney theme, and it will be perfect for this. It's much easier than making my own and is stretchy and breathable.It's quite a thin fabric, but I find that means it's more comfortable. It is also quite form-fitting but isn't unflattering - it doesn't cling to your belly or ride up. It's a little shorter than I was anticipating - just above the knee - but if you're conscious about this you can always wear a pair of shorts underneath.As other reviewers have said, it's a good idea to check the sizing before you order to make sure you get a good fit. I am about a size 18 bottom and a size 16 top - I ordered an XXXL. It might seem odd but this actually fits perfectly. I would order a size bigger than you normally would just to be safe.COST:The nice thing about this dress is that it's not stiff or uncomfortable in any way and would make a perfect skater dress or even a nightie if you so wished. It's versatile and comfortable - which is good, because the price is moderate.While £25 might seem a lot for a one-off costume, I tried adding up how much it would likely cost to get this together by hand and it would likely be costly either way - I'd need at least 4 pieces of fabric (you could add patterns to the pink or yellow fabrics but you'd still need them), so I was swayed into buying it. I feel that, if I saw it in a shop, I'd probably 'ummm' and 'ahh' a little bit, only because I try and keep my costumes to less than £20 if I can. However, I'd likely be swayed because of the quality, comfort and versatility - as I said, it'd be great as a nightie or a casual dress.Overall, I'm glad I bought it - especially in the size I did. It's a perfect solution if you don't have the time to make it and you're an NBC fan that will wear the dress more than once. Maybe a little pricey, but you come to expect that with Disney merch and it is of a good quality.

Fits OK overall but if your slightly large chested or have bigger arms this won't fit. I bought an xl and it was tight Inthe arms and my size A cup chest fit loose everywhere else. Material is like a cheap tshirt material which is unfortunate that its an official piece as I beleive it reduces the quality.

Now while it’s a lovely dress, and is exactly what I wanted style wise, it definitely comes up small. I ordered a 2XL (which I’m most definitely not...) because I’m heavily pregnant and wanted to wear this for my Halloween theme baby shower. I found it very snug on the bust. Sadly I won’t be able to return it and get a bigger one as I can’t guarantee that will fit either and be in time for my baby shower. I will however keep it to wear after as I’m sure it’ll fit better once I’ve had the baby. I will say as well, in a few reviews and FAQs it states that the dress has give/stretch, this isn’t true in the dress that arrived with me today. It has absolutely no give.

I am a uk size 12 so ordered based on the description saying true to size order normal size that was a mistake. the dress itself is lovely however in the event of having boobs and muscle to your arms, I’d go up a size or two better to be too big than too small. It’s also safe to say the dress has no give in it whatsoever getting it off was a chore as it was stuck on my boobs for reference I’m 5’ 5”, medium build, 34DD chest.

I do like this dress but I'd say it's ever so slightly small for its size. I'm normally a UK 14 and, yes, it fits but could probably benefit from being a teeny bit more generous with the size, not just in width but also in length. Perhaps this problem is amplified by me being tall and busty. I'm sure it would fit shorter, more conventionally shaped women better. Then again, I was only planning to use it as a night dress anyway so it's not the end of the world. If I was ever going to a fancy dress party I guess it'll come in handy if I want to go as Sally.

Beautiful TNBC outfit for a costume I am doing. I ordered a Large (I am usually M-L but figured I would go to the larger size to be safe) but it was still a little tight across the chest area so I sent back and got the next size up, which is perfect across the bust (but a little baggy around the waist/hips). A bit thin in material but as it's just a costume that is fine - I won't be wearing it to the Ritz! Would recommend

If like me, you're at the inbetween sizes size...not a 10/10-12 or a 12/12-14 (medium) due to larger on top than waist; go the size up than you'd normally get, the chest is rather tight fitting, though the rest is very forgiving and comfortable😁
