Works great
I had been using the headband-style sleep headphones but for some reason my ears have gotten more sensitive and I couldn't use them anymore. A friend had mentioned that she used an under-pillow speaker. I was a bit skeptical but looked for a bluetooth under-pillow speaker and found this one and decided to give it a try. I have been extremely happy with it. It is easy to slip inside the bottom of my pillowcase and doesn't bother my ears. I sleep with my arms under the pillow and can easily avoid the speakers. My husband reports that he cannot hear it at all. The bluetooth pairing is a bit loud, as people have pointed out, but I can easily avoid this by lowering the volume all the way when I turn it on and pair it and then turning the volume back up once it pairs. I haven't had any bluetooth pairing issues at all. It lasts all night on one charge but not much more than that but the cable is nice and long so it is easy to charge.

Lovely pillow speaker with an unwanted intrusively loud female announcer you can't kick out of your bedroom.
PLUS: Really good pillow speakers. I have the Crane mono speaker that needs to be right underneath your ear and if you move, it is lost. This one is fine as there are two speakers that balance out when you toss from one side to the other. Very nice sounds and good quality material. I use a foam pillow with holes in them and hence, these are within the case below the pillow. Great built-in sound options. Many features like Aux in that works very well. The BT is powerful too. The option to plug into a computer and edit & add MP3 files is really excellent. The 1 hour Sleep timer is a welcome feature. The rechargeable feature is also great. MINUS: Oh my goodness! When pairing with Bluetooth devices, that obnoxiously LOUD Chinese announcement by a female voice with a heavy accent wakes up my wife from deep sleep. Kills it! Sounds like I have another woman in bed and you can't even tell if it is English. Can't do anything. Who came up with this idea - beats me. So, I try not to use BT. The preset sounds are pretty loud and the volume doesn't go down too much. So, I plugged in the device, copied the mp3 presets, opened in Audacity and used Amplify to go minus 25 on each track (192 Kbps and set bit rate). Then copied them back to the device storage. Works flawlessly. Also added some instrumental classical music (Mozart clarinet) which also needed minus 25 Amplification to reduce sound. Overall, a superb pillow speaker! If you know how to edit the amplification. The On/Off tone is also loud but I didn't bother fiddling with the programming language in the hidden folder. Who knows - one of these days, I might get in there and kill the terrible voice announcement :) Reduced one star just because of that annoyance. Would recommend this pillow speaker.

NO INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO OPERATE AND SPORADIC BLUETOOTH CONNECTIONS
The unit had NO instructions on how to operate. HAd to do trial and error to get it paired with my TV and then it was off and on. The ladies voice (which is extremely annoying) says its paired but get no sound and sometimes when it says it paired it stops in the middle of the announcement. EXTREMLEY disappointed but on lack of better judgement I ordered Pyle’s other model and we shall see. Usually I don’t give companies a chance like this but unfortunately there isn8t any other devices like what I need out there. Also, Pyle’s customer service / Support is nonexistent. They have really limited phone hours and I have emailed them several times without any replies. I must be sick in the head to be ordering another item, but I really want this type of unit for rest time. I almost forgot to mention, I have two bluetooth headsets that I have been using but hey are somewhat uncomfortable and cumbersome for laying in bed, I have no problem pairing them and have paired Them many times now right after attempting to pair this unit and both headsets pair every time without fail so its nothing to do with my wireless receiver kit or the tv its plugged into

Good enough but could be better!
The battery quality is not what I was expecting so that is the reason for the low rating. I do like that the speaker is bluetooth compatible.

Good sound volume.
I like this. I have a different one which is sometimes hard to hear which is why I bought this one. The volume is more then enough. I have to recharge it after every use as it only seems to last a few hours, but that is easy enough to do when I get up in the morning. The lovely Asian women's voice that says the blue tooth device is connected is a bit loud but I don't mind that. I can see that others may find this annoying especially if they were asleep as it is quite loud with no volume control or way to shut the notification off.
