Good power strip with a useful, high-visibility color
This wonderful little yellow power strip stays plugged into my uninterruptible power supply (UPS). The case seems sturdy and everything works as it should. The bright color is a good visual reminder to only plug items into it that should remain powered on in the case of a power outage, such as a cable modem, router, wifi basestation, etc (non-critical stuff gets plugged into my normal beige power strip that's plugged into the wall). Photo shows the Southwire Yellow Jacket power strip located behind my UPS. Definitely recommended.

needs a template for mounting holes and screws.
The quality is excellent. But I spent an hour trying to mount it in my workshop. Did not have screws in the package, so I had to find ones that would fit the slots. I made my own template after trying to eye ball where the holes go a lot of times.

Bought BECAUSE of no surge protection
Wonder why "surge protector outlet extender" not allowed on cruise ships?Because a LOT of them (if not all) can overheat/flame/burn or otherwise thermally disintegrate.I had a dozen or so scattered about the house. A thunderstorm happened and took out power to house. So I started my generator (just big enough to run water pump and fridge and a few lights) and wife PANICSrunning outside hollering SMOKE! Generator circuit breaker tripped so shut off and go inside and one room full of smoke - ALL the "surge protector" power strips burned or melted and one really smoked and almost set computer desk aflame!!! Unplugged them all and tossed. Bought a bunch of Yellow Jacket power strips WITHOUT surge protection. Found every surge protector device in house had burned or over heated.then looking at info online - found out they are not allowed on cruise ships. NOW I know why. Anything "surge protected" is not allowed in the house now.The devices that "surge protect" are called MOVs or Metal Oxide Varistor. The have a limed life and if not stressed to much - will not overheat enough to flame. Worse, when they have "worn out" (limited amount of energy - joules - that they can absorb) they don't surge protect anymore - false security to think they work indefinitely.Properly engineered devices would not fail and overheat - appears to me most "out there" are susceptible or likely probable to melt as almost all I have seen are encased in plastic.Lucky to have been home when they started smoking -Attached pictures of two smoked outlet strips (apology for fuzzyness) and pic of "innards" of one strip that I amputated the MOVs as it had not been plugged in when 'surge' happened. The blue things are the MOVs.They should have thermal fuse between them to open circuit when they over heat. One pair does have a fuse - but not in contact with the MOVs. poor design - and the other pair of MOVx - no fuse at allOnly other casualties in the house was a GE brand LED nightlight bulb,ma 2 1/2 amp fuse that opened on an audio amplifier I leave on. AND!! a UPS brand "APC" - that was a surprise as I thought they were the best.It was almost 20 years old (been through several batteries) so maybe it was almost used up when surge occurred.

Works great
Easy to mount and I liked the spacing for DC converter type plugs. I use it for my generator tender, small air compressor and shop wall vacuum.

Really happy with this power strip.
The color is awesome for working in a darker room and people I work with all have beige power strips so I now know which power strip is mine. Very solid. One "upgrade" I wish it had was an LED in the on/off switch but I'm guessing there is a good reason why the manufacturer doesn't include one. I'd almost same the lack of and LED makes this a stronger product somehow. Lastly, the fact that it is mostly metal is a major, major plus. Now that I think about it, I bought the Yellow Jacket to replace an odd shaped, plastic housed, LED on/off power strip that failed after a few years of intermittent use. Something tells me I'm going to have the Yellow Jacket for a long time to come and that, with the product, I'm going to be very happy. Do yourself a favor if you need a power strip: spend the extra bucks and get this one.

Pretty good strip, but has a plastic back and relatively small mounting holes
I bought this to mount on the wall in my garage for several items that need to be charged (cordless drill batteries, car jump starter, etc.).I really like the bright color, the power switch, the very heavy duty cord, and the yellow metal top case. But the back is plastic, and the mounting holes on the back are too small.A standard sheetrock screw is too big to fit into the mounting holes on the back. I found a smaller wood screw laying around that fit, but even that was too large to slide fully into one of the slots on the mounting holes. So you will need some screws with a relatively small head if you want to mount this properly.Despite this issue, I was able to mount it in a few minutes. I plugged it in and it works great. My chargers are now all lit up and happy.

Definitely with the money
Its really put together well. Very sturdy. Handles the electric load with no problem. I'm using for lighting in grow room. I have several chords plugged into this strip and it handles it. It doesn't even get warm when in use. Not bad for the money.

Solidly built, does the job.
I'm a fan of the Yellow Jacket line of power strips. I was looking for some to use for my band and DJ PA equipment. I wanted them solidly built (metal), OK for outdoor use, and reasonably priced. These strips checked all the boxes. I started a year or so ago by purchasing/using 2 of the 8 port+USB ones (~$20). Just recently, I ordered 3 of these 6 outlet ones.

Carcasa metalica y resistente

Contains Led
We haven't been able to use this product yet, because I'm pregnant and it contains led. I wish I had known before I purchased it.
