La Chinata. Sweet Smoked Paprika Powder. 750g (1.65lb) tin.

I've been buying this in the small cans, and having a giant container will allow me to be more generous and less worried about how much expensive paprika I'm using. The only tough part is the metal lid, so I'll put some of this in a smaller bottle for daily use. This is hands down the best mild smoked paprika!

I don't know what I will when the day comes that I can't purchase this paprika any longer. Hopefully it never happens. I have used this for years and years. One of the food service size cans lasts us about 2 years. We use it all the time. It is not spicy at all and has the best smoky flavor. If I ever have to use another brand, my food just doesn't taste like my food. I can't recommend La Chinata. Sweet Smoked Paprika Powder enough. It's really that good.

Saw Gordon Ramsay's video "Top five pork recipes" on making pull-pork. Came out fantastically awesome, without the need for a smoker! The smokey flavor is definitely come through. Did the same for pork ribs, came out as good as the pull-pork

Strong smell and flavor and cute tin. It is worth the extra money. Its not even comparable to the dirt-like paprika you get in a grocery store. This is the real deal. I use this for both paprika and smoky flavors. I don't even use that liquid smoke garbage anymore. If I can't smoke it in my smoker, I just use this. Its good for so many things.

Normally would buy Spanish Sweet Paprika in a 350-400g container (lasting me about a year), but this arrived with enough time till recommended Use By date to still make this a good purchase. Plus a bigger tin means I'm cooking with it even more than I normally do. LOL. Definitely beats the cost/value of little 70g tins, and still the same aromatic and flavorful pimientón from the La Vera region. (I regularly bought this La Chinata brand of it from El Corte Inglés while living in Madrid.) The only ding I give this purchase is that Amazon seller merely packed this heavy tin in a bubble-wrapped envelope, so it arrived significantly dented (though not leaking).
