I absolutely love the Aveda Pure Formance Gel! It smells so amazing. My sons and husband use it but I especially use it for my 5 year olds hair. He loves to spike his hair and has very thick hair. This gel works terrific to keep it in place but not be too gunky or "hard". It leaves no residue or flaking which I have found other gels to do. Love this product and won't use any other!

Nice hold, fresh scent and not sticky!! My hairdresser recommended it and used it during My appointment. Loved it and found it $8 cheaper on Amazon than in the salon.

We like this stuff! I was told about it from by a woman who cut my son’s hair. It works great and smells good too. A bit pricey though.

This hair gel is strong hold with out over shine or too much crunch. I have long hair and curls and this gel is great to apply to wet hair and blow dry or scrunch in dry hair. My hair is heavy and full and it holds most of the day. Sometimes needs a refresh to go out at night. Also… not only for men. The Aveda line doesn’t have this strong hold for women so… I am a woman and love it.

Great gel for men, been using for about 7 years now. No dried up flaking and has a good aroma to it. Love this Gel has a good fragrance and NO flake from it. I just works, Expensive, yes in my standards yes it is, but it lasts a Long time, and the big thing is it really works, 2nd big thing, no flack, I guess I meen no dandruff like flaky from it. Believe me it works and works well.

My hair stylists over the years have suggested a number of different hair styling products based upon a few demands: 1. It should not make my hair look flammable. 2. It should not make it uncomfortable to touch my hair. 3. It should make my hair bounce back into place after being blown by the wind. 4. It should hold my hair up from morning through the night. None of the suggested products ever worked. Then, one day, someone was handing out samples of this Aveda Men Pure-Performance Hold Gel on the subway platform in Manhattan. I figured, what the hell. I'm thinking about shaving my head anyway, so what's the worst that can happen. Well, I'm glad I gave it a shot, and I have since purchased a 5oz bottle. It fits all of the requirements outlined above. When rubbed in my hands, it foams up a bit, so it is easy to disperse evenly in my hair. Once in my hair, my hair remains style-able for a good 15-20 minutes, but won't move unless touched. At the end of those 15-20 minutes, the hair will blow in the wind naturally, is comfortable to run my hands through, and has only the same sheen it naturally has after shampooing and conditioning. When it is moved by the wind, etc. it sets back where I had styled it - perfectly - every time. I couldn't ask for more from a hair product. I really feel like this is the holy grail of hair gel.
