We fenced in nearly an acre and it works perfectly. It wasn’t too hard to bury the wire 1-2” once we have the right tool and got a good system going. It took about 6 hours total, over two days to do a 1-acre installation. It wasn’t too hard well worth the work to see our very happy pup running free and enjoying the yard.She still tries to chase squirrels and bark at walkers going by, but she stops dead at the fence line and doesn’t cross. Only took 3-4 times of her testing the boundary and us adjusting to find the right setting on the collar, before she stayed put and within the boundaries.We have a smart dog, and we shortened the training process dramatically, with only 2 to 3 days of walking the boundary on leash and then off leash, and then letting her play off leash with supervision for the first week. She got to know the boundary within 3 to 4 days. We removed the flags slowly, over a period of about w-3 weeks.The charge on the collar also seems to last a long time. The collar strap itself did break, not sure how it happened, probably the pup was scratching at it and pulling at it, and then broke the buckle. Very easy and inexpensive to get replacement collar straps, so no big deal.One of the things I liked about this pack, was that the receiver on the caller is not as bulky as some of the others out there. We have a medium size doodle who is about 30 pounds and I didn’t want to stick a giant plastic cube around her neck. The receiver on this collar also curved and rounded which I think is more comfortable for her and doesn’t stick out as much as the rectangular shaped ones. Great fence! I would not hesitate to purchase again.

The fence works as it should, I’m not sure it stands out against any other fence, this is the only one I’ve used. I did have an issue where 6 months or so in, the transmitter stopped working. I reached out to petsafe directly by phone, was connected quickly to a human being located within the United States and they promptly issued me a warranty replacement. They didn’t even ask for my order number! Just a screenshot of my Amazon order and it was all seamless, a phone call, they texted me, I texted him a photo and within ten minutes the new unit was on his way. Me and my husband spent 4 and a half hours carefully placing the wiring around our new in ground fence. We read all of the instructions carefully and when we went to test it out nothing happened! We completed the system test but no matter what, the collar will not shock unless the collar is touching the transmitter. We tried adjusting the range to every option but still unless it is touching, no beeps and no shocks. A giant waste of money!

It has worked great since install which was easy and straight forward. Had a little failure with the transmitter device and contacted customer service on their website. Within 5 minutes I had a case number and a new order. Should be here in 3-5 days. I am grateful for their prompt response and amazing customer service.

The media could not be loaded. This is my second time buying this unit. I used it for a decade while I foster dogs. It worked. They were large breed dogs, specifically boxers. I now have two dogs of my own, and I have a neighbor who complains that there's a lease law. After recently buying a house, I was in no position to buy a fence. You do not need one with this unit. it is reliable and the brand is solid! For a few dollars you cannot beat this. Peace of mind and security and quality this product provides priceless. Looking to add a color or two and possibly another unit because I'm about to add some more fosters now that we're homeowners. I highly recommend!

Installation was easy. It goes up to 5 acres but only has 500 foot wire. You need to buy more if you have a larger area. I twisted the wire and it broke off easily. I hope the wire lasts long. Also it only goes down to 5 feet on the fence line so I lost a lot of space in their area. They can’t come to the fence to greet me without getting corrected. I’ll have to move the wire back again to fix that. My dog still got out not sure why he didn’t get corrected. I rechecked to make sure the collar was on correctly. We’ll see again how it goes. I’ll eventually buy more wire to cover the full area that I was hoping to cover. Seems over priced for the quality. But it’s holding up as of now.

This was a process! After one weekend of brainstorming, I figured it out. The issue is having to make a complete circle. I could have done it around the house but it would have been extensive digging in the front and in the back too many tree roots with our wooded perimeter. I ended up attaching it to the fence with the wires 5 feet apart (like the manual diagram shows). The first issue was we have a HOA so we couldn’t use the orange wire that came with the kit. I had to order more wire anyway because I was about 50 feet short to do the double perimeter method. I ordered black wire (not the same brand, much thicker) Of course, the gauge wire for the kit was not listed, so I ordered the wrong size the first time. My hubby is not happy. I have to loop it through the garage (via under the garage door) I have no access to the garage except thru the front, I wasn’t about drilling thru concrete wall to run the wire. All this because the box is not weatherproof! This is a huge design flaw which also led to the need for more wire. Once I had everything I needed, it took about 4 hours. It was pretty easy once I gave up digging and put it on the existing fence. In case you are wondering, I need it for the digging dog, not a perimeter. I love that it is compatible with the pet safe pawz away!
