This is my second electric pencil sharpener. My first by Foray was battery operated and was good for about ten pencils over three years. After that it would not sharpen pencils to a point but only to a stump. Perhaps the batteries got weak. I bought this model which plugs into the wall and uses a rechargeable battery. So far it works great and sharpens pencils to the desired fine sharp point. There are manual switch settings that will leave the no. 2 pencil to alternative stump points also, but I will never use that. I like that this pencil sharpener will automatically stop when the pencil is cut to a fine point. My Foray model did not have this capability, so I had to keep popping it in and out of the sharpener repeatedly. This make gets the job done. If it breaks down on me I will add to this review. So far I have sharpened 9 brand-new pencils from 3 different manufacturers and after the auto-stop, all the pencils have sharp lead points with the wood shavings well above the tips completely.

I really like that it has a rechargeable battery. I plugged it in for a few hours even though it was turning on right out of the box. It does a good job sharpening standard sized pencils, stopping automatically. For artists, getting a fresh point quickly really helps maintain the flow state of creativity.

Works great and it's a small size so it doesn't hog up a lot of desk space. Charge seems to last forever.

What a wonderful piece of machine. Does what it advertises. Pencils come out sharp. Eyebrow eyeliner pencils come out perfect. Would definitely buy again.

Solid little grinder that does the job well. It feels sturdy, the glass bowl is thick, and the metal top looks clean and modern. It grinds evenly for dry herbs and spices and is easy to take apart and clean. The size is convenient for small batches and it does not take up much counter space. The only downside is that it can struggle a bit with tougher items and you sometimes need to shake it to get everything ground evenly. The opening in the lid can also let a little dust escape if you are not careful. Overall, a reliable grinder with good build quality. Loses one star for power and minor mess, but still a good value for everyday use.

It is so nice that this is rechargeable. It is so easy to dump the shavings and everything around the pencil sharpener stays clean. I am impressed with how long the charge lasts. We have had it for a week on one charge and my kids use it daily and it is still going strong. It is fancy in having different levels of sharpness which is great for when you have high quality colored pencils.

I adore this sharpener! As a professional artist, sharpeners are a big deal and I love the fact that you can change the point, is rechargeable, and it works great on regular AND colored pencil - great buy!
