Great book to keep your brain active.
I like the variety of things to do in this book. It’s perfect to keep my mom’s 84 year old brain working and mind busy!

Great for my 90-year-old mom
This nice, big book offers a variety of fun and challenging activities! My mom has been enjoying it immensely since getting it as a Christmas gift a few days ago. She reports that some are a little too hard for her, but finds that looking at the provided answers (essential!), gets her started and on her way to solving the various kinds of puzzles. Some require spatial and visual engagement, others are word-oriented. She absolutely loves it! WIN!!!

Good
I like this, but some of them are too hard for me. I’m 43 with a recent diagnosis that includes cognitive impairment. I used to have a nearly photographic memory, and now I struggle to remember earlier in the day. I find these to be a mix of too easy and too hard. Very little middle ground.

My 85 yr mom is enjoying it
I bought this for my 85-year-old mother who still lives alone in her own apartment, but who has less friends that come by these days. I can't visit more than once or twice a week and even though we spend the entire day together when we do I know that she gets bored on the days she doesn't go out... She has started to show signs of memory loss over the last 6 to 8 months nothing major but I bought these books to help keep her brain active so she has something to do besides read or watch TV. She immediately started using it the day I gave it to her and has already done several pages in it as well as the math book I got her. It gives her something to do besides the basic crossword puzzles that she normally does and because the brain teasers and puzzles are all a little different it gives variety. She wears trifocals and the easy to read and see pages help. I'm actually back here to shop for some different varieties from this author!! Some of the activities are easy but that isn't the point it's just about using their brain to keep it stimulated and any thought process helps. Some of the ones she chose to do first were some of the easier ones and she's a very smart lady who always worked in upper management positions and worked with numbers. This book is meant to be fun for them and she says she likes it. Win!

Poorly designed
This memory book was filled with too many contradictions. On one hand, some of the challenges were so elementary that I felt insulted by the simplicity, while others had instructions that were so poorly explained or vague that I had no idea how to complete the task. I’m not sure who this is designed to be for. If someone had a stroke and was trying to play some memory improvement games, the simple ones would do. But the ones with bad, vague instructions, would be passed over. And lastly, the challenge types were repeated over and over again. They were presented in the same order, and then repeated (different individual challenges but same format). So the challenges with vague instructions were promised again down the line. Again, the writer of this book needs to decide who their target market is. If it’s for someone over a certain age just wanting to improve their memory with fun challenges, this is not the book for you. And for someone who had a stroke or brain injury, they will only benefit from maybe 2/3 of the continents in this book. The other 1/3 with the challenge instructions being too vague would have no idea what to do. Bottom line, don’t buy this.

Challenging & Fun ~ Little Frustration!
My intelligent 86-year-old mother is in the early stages of cognitive decline. Almost every activity was challenging and fun- with very little frustration. They were a great fit for her current stage in life.

A+ workbook for dementia
Bought this for my mom who has dementia. She loves crossword and word search. This has so many more options to work her brain. I didn’t even know she knew how to play sudoku until I looked at her work. Some pages ask for their favorite memories, It’s so fun to read the memories she writes about.

My parents had this for their retirement gift. It would be handy if I could remember where they put it. 😂
