I am very big on keeping my spa clean, because who wants to soak in a dirty tub? I rinse my filter every week, however it got to a point where there was some staining on the filter that would not rinse off. I soaked my filter in a 5 gallon bucket with this product for about 6 hours and then rinsed my filter and now it looks brand new!

We don’t use our hot tub often, so our filters don’t look nearly as foul as some filters I’ve seen in photos and videos. Even so, I try to follow the standard recommendations to rinse and clean the filters. Although filters look *better* after using this product 1) at least to the eye, this product doesn’t seem to clean the filters much better than my regular rinses do, and 2) the filters don’t look “like new” as others attested, rather there’s still *some* residue even after a long soak and rinse. Further, this product is about 50% of the cost of a new filter for my hot tub. So, for me, it seems to make more sense to just buy “actually new” and 100% clean filters in lieu of buying and spending time using this product. I do somewhat regret that this might mean sending filters to a landfill that might have some use left in them. (One can find powdered filter cleaners that are cheaper to use per filter, but in my observation, those products tend to get worse feedback about how well they actually clean the filters….)
