Zmodo 1080X720P HD Simplified PoE Security Camera System - 4 Channel HDMI Intelligent Video Recorder 4 Outdoor and Indoor IP Cameras with Motion Detection, Night Vision No Hard Drive

System worked as dscribed and cameras were picked up immediately with not needing to do anything. Installed a 1TB WD HD purple which was recommended and the system picked it up right away and prompted to format with no issues. Software was easy to understand with no need to install anything. Only downsides was that there is no documentation to this unit and there is no way to know how to do restarts of the system outside of just unplugging it and then letting it boot back up. The admin interface is simple to navigate and understand and the cameras give great video and the mobile app is also easy to understand and work with. Not much to it, but does what you need. Installation of the cameras was easy, only hick-up was one of the camera cables, during the feed through a wall, had the metal tip that connects to the camera came off. I emailed the seller and they immediately shipped a new cable so customer service is A+ and quick to respond. This is a simple system for basic home monitoring, just needs to have some documentation and a way to know how to do soft restarts.UPDATE: Had a small issue with one of the camera cables but upon emailing the seller I was quickly responded to and another cable was shipped out. I also emailed them letting them know that one of the cameras had gotten a pink tent to the picture during the day. And again I received a timely response asking me to cup my hands over the camera making it go to night vision and then take my hands away. If that did not fix it then to let them know and a new camera would be sent. No need for the new camera since the hand cup worked, but it is refreshing to know that some places still believe in great customer service. So I gave them that fifth star for thier service.

For the money, this camera system is great.I have two issues that are by no means a deal breaker.1. The sensitivity could be better. I have one of them at the least sensitive setting and it gives alerts when trees move a bit or the tree shadows change shade.2. It states that cloud storage is available, until you try to set it up. Then it says it's not offered with this model.

i received what seemed to be an already returned item and upon testing it, I can see why it was returned. here is a list of issues: First, All of the housing screws on the NVR box were missing. Second, all but one of the four cameras had issues. Two of the cameras showed a purple image and One of the cameras had pretty severe vignetting and only about %50 of the image was viewable. Sadly, this could have had been avoided if someone would have simply testing the product prior to boxing it for shipment. On a good note, the application seemed very user friendly and the product construction was decent. Luckily Amazon is processing the refund/return without question as they always do.

I love this because I just suffered through two years of having a Lorex security camera system constantly rebooting on me. In the summer it would reboot about every 15 to 20 minutes. In the winter time it wasn't near as often but still more than it should. It finally died so I pulled the 2TB hard drive out of it and bought this unit. 10 times easier to install since it had POE (Power over ethernet) so only one small wire to run. The cameras are slightly smaller and the images are great. Setup was super easy and it works great on my phone over the internet. I'm sure it has a lot more features that I don't need or use. I just need the basic record what is going on around my house and let me see over my phone. Its so much smaller that that Lorex system too that had this big empty box once I opened it.

So far, it's OK. The night vision is very grainy and with any light from a neighbors house the street or your own house the lens becomes black in some areas and distorted in others. Happens through all 4 cameras. The nvr box itself has no power on/off button so you have to plug it in and unplug it, which is horrible for the hard drive and also clauses a spark at the back of the unit. This cannot be safe. If it didn't take me a whole day to run the cables I would probably look for a refund, but the time might not be worth the money to take it all down again. The only positive, is that the app seems to work well and during the day, the cameras look decent. The motion sensor is just ok, but I've seen worse. The alarm via app is inconsistent. Sometimes it's right on, other times I get late or no notification, although looking at the alarm log manually shows motion.
