lamp is mediocre, phone charger is terrible
I'm not impressed by this lamp. The $110 list price is silly for this quality level. Even the $60 sale price is too expensive. Quality is pretty basic for an almost entirely plastic lamp. The LED light does work and it is nice to have 2 brightness levels. The lamp arm hinges are way too loose and even the slightest bump will knock it out of position (no tightness adjustment). The smartphone charger is flawed in many ways. Most importantly, it seems very weak. I doubt that a modern smartphone will fully charge overnight using this thing. Also, the phone holder tray is terribly shaped. A larger smartphone (5.5 inch screen) will not fit in the tray. Why couldn't they make tray open on the sides to that you could place the phone in sideways? Even if your phone does fit in the slot, since most modern phones have the charger port on the bottom. You have to stick your phone in upside down, so you cannot use the slot as a phone viewer (my phone does not support 180 degree rotation). Not recommended, especially at the current price.

Bright Light; Frame Lifespan Suspect
This is a smaller desk lamp that is entirely plastic. While the light itself is very bright with 2 adjustable settings, the overall flimsiness and quality outshines the brightness of the light -- pun intended. Knock the lamp off the desk? Likely broken. Use for a while, where you adjust the arms periodically? Likely the ability to stay in one place will vanish (there are no places to tighten). You can also charge a device with the USB cable on the side and place your phone in the cradle of the base. I have an iPhone 5s and it would only fit when I took my case off. Since the 5s is a fairly small phone, your new, bigger phone will probably not fit.The unit folds up with a movable, compact size. It only weighs around 2.5 lbs, which also adds to its portability.-------------------------This type of lamp is what you would expect from a typical department store. Great for dorms, kids, and new apartments where you want to save money. However, I say 'save money' because I would assume you would buy this in a department store. However, for the price you are paying here you are not getting value for the money. Unless it goes down, there are better options available. I bought a nice stand from a certain very big department store that was under 35$ and has lasted for 3 years.

bright light and a place to charge your phone
I'm somewhat underwhelmed by this lamp but like it nonetheless. The lighting is good and the adjustments work well but the quality was not what I would expect from a lamp at this price point. From the picture it looked, to me, like black plastic and metal. It's actually all plastic, what looks like metal in the picture is gray plastic. The plastic is the ultra smooth, shiny type that scratches easily. Textured plastic would be a welcome improvement. The cord is long and the adaptor is narrow enough to only takes up one outlet on a power strip. The phone cradle works fine but is a bit of a snug fit for my iPhone 6 in a case. Without a case it would fit much better. It's nice to have the phone upright next to the bed to use as an alarm clock. The USB charging port is a nice touch and allow me to use my regular charger in another room. The small items bin is fine but isn't very accessible when the phone is there. The light it gives off is cool, nothing like an incandescent bulb. I've found it to be a bit bright for nighttime use but it would be great to have on a desk. The power button is just right, located front and center and only require a light tap.All in all this lamp is a good choice if you like the style and want the phone charging capabilities. It would be greatly improved by the addition of a dimmer switch and a switch to textured plastic. While I don't use it late at night because of how brings it is it's nice to have on in the evening since it uses so little electricity. The best part is the way it holds my phone up. I don't care for alarm clocks that light up, it's been nice to have my phone handy to check the time without any extra light in the room.

Task lighting for small areas.
While I think the glare-free, halo-free, shadow-free adjectives are a little absurd to describe the light output of a lamp, I do really like the desk lamp. It has two light settings that are selected by holding down the power button for one second. The power button itself is a touch-sensitive button, so there isn't any mechanical feedback to it, i.e. you don't feel it click on or off. I like the silence of it, honestly, as silly as that sounds. While I do wish the head swiveled back and forth, the up and down movement of it seems to be adequate for lighting my desk. I like the USB charger that is on the side and the little cubby is nice for holding small gadgets or your phone while they charge from the port. The design itself is okay and I do feel that the plastic is a bit cheap looking for the price point this lamp is at, but that doesn't take away from the lamp in any way.The light output is sufficient for my desk and would also be great for a bedside table, but I wouldn't try to use it for much more than that. This is great for task lighting at my desk, but I wouldn't want to depend solely on this for long hours if I needed lighting for a specific need like crafting or small detail work on something.
