Easy to use with braided fishing line. Used during an Alaska Moose hunt to detect movement around our meat pole. Went off twice, ran back to camp, didn't see anything. 2nd time we noticed birds flying around the meat. Pretty sure that's what triggered it.

I bought this as a deterrent for thieves. They took my cell phone out of my truck. I plan on using it in a layered system with a motion sensing flood light and motion sensing alarm. The trip wires will be on the most inner part. I am also going to see if I can add some fireworks in there as well for a longer lasting effect. The flash bang may wake me up but only if I realize that is what woke me up. This way if I hear fireworks going off I will know exactly what it is. The thief may never come around again but I can use this for many things like camping in bear country and such. I will try and make a video of the fireworks using the flash bang as the ignition source if I remember and post it here.
