TAMASHII NATIONS - Mazinger Z - GX-105 Manzinger Z (Kikumei Shinka), Bandai Spirits Soul of Chogokin Die-Cast Metal Collectible

As a child I was a big fan of Mazinger Z and considering that I'm in my 50's I still a big fan. Don't let this photo fool you, it's solid and heavy. I personally love this 50's anniversary edition because it doesn't have any visible screws from behind as the photo here. Yes, it's pricey...but you getting a very good quality and strong Mazinger Z edition. I might even pre-order Aphrodite and Minerva, as long it's built the same way as this 50's anniversary edition.

I'm 46 and my brother is 52 and we've had a grudge of some sort between us because of a toy of his I gave away when I was in highschool. Imagine my surprise when I was scrolling thru figma new releases on my phone and there it was- a smaller, better and even cooler version of my brother's old Mazinger Z. The rest of the story isn't going to add any good review information, but I did open it up and check it out before I presented it to my bro. It's almost completely metal construction, about 6.5" tall and has quite a few points of articulation. All the joints were firm but not overly stiff. The paint is detailed and precise and the accessories are great. I knew my bro would be stoked when he saw that the arms can be launched, just like his childhood favorite. Anyways, there are quite a few Mazinger Z figures out now since it's the 50th anniversary of the show in Japan. This one is a bit pricey, but worth it to squash the rift between brothers.

I've wanted a Mazinger Z for a long time, ever since I saw the early Soul of Chogokin versions, but they were always out of the price range. the wrong version of the character, or just released at a time when the rest of the cast were unavailable.This release is excellent!The build quality is top notchThe features are well thought out and executedThe size is PERFECT to fit in with my other larger robot characters like Voltron, and Kaiju like Godzilla.Literally could not be happier.

Good packaging

Nice repaint on this figures, nice accesories, if you don't have these in your collection is definitely recommended or if you are a completionist defenetly a must have.

The devilman figure feels incredibly cheap compared to other sh figure figures and it cost me over 100$ to get it and when I got a sh figure goku for like 30$ it feels much better than this on this figure there seems to be some kind of residue from what ever plastic it was pull off of and feels like it was built like a model kit it feels very cheap and feels like I’d be able to crush it in my hand and it feels like I shouldn’t with it costing over 100$
