Best thumb support I've found so far!
I am waiting on LRTI( ligament reconstruction and tendon interposition) surgery in a few months, and will first get my left, then my right. This product is surprisingly comfortable, supportive, and fuss-free. I ordered two or three other products that are supposed to do the same thing, but those others make me feel claustrophobic and all the velcro straps make me feel helplessly constricted.I have no cartilage on the left side and barely any on the right side, as a point of reference for others looking into similar products for the same purpose. Also for reference, I took a shower and plan on swimming with them and will report back with how it goes with the swimming (about 2-3 miles/ 5000 meters or so). I have seen other reviews that say they rip easily which may be due to the size of the item. I am a thin/small woman and would imagine that on larger hands they would be prone to rip and wear down more readily. Also important to know; they are latex so if you are sensitive or allergic, that would be a no-go. As others have commented, they're overpriced for what they are but much cheaper than some other products and worth a try.

Good support
As soon as I put this on, I felt relief in my thumb.Adjustable 3 different ways: thumb, hand wrist. This provides excellent stabilization. Comfortable: I slept just fine wearing the brace.I place a thin fingerless gloves between the brace and my hand as I found the brace dug into the area just below my pinkie a bit - that may have been a result of me preferring a tight fit, so the thin glove takes care of that issue.Highly recommend.

Very helpful for my hurting thumb joint. ...Just 2 things to improve.
I got hurt when object hit my thumb. Thumb joint was very discomfort and popping whenever it's bending. Bought this thumb brace and using since May, 5th, 2024. It is very sturdy and protecting my thumb, even now. However, as the picture shows, 2 of the straps are not very strong material. It would be much better if they were made the same material as the one that wraps around the wrist. I'll probably get another one if the 2 straps disintegrated before the thumb joint recovers. Just a suggestion for the seller/maker.

It works and super comfortable
First, I was impressed that it was made in Germany, not China. After trying it for a few days, I fell in love with it. I have tried at least four variations of wrist brace for my De Quervain tendon inflammation in the past 2.5 months. It is either too rigid (one with a metal strip along the thumb), or the whole thing is an elastic band without Velcro - the only way to wear it is to force your hand into the elastic band, which hurts. This brace works the best, as it is comfortable, fits your hand well, and has adjustable Velcro. Most importantly. This one has the metal supports placed towards the palm and the back of the hands; avoid the inflamed tendon around the thumb while providing enough support. Also, it's lightweight. It works really well for a reasonable price

Fits left hand okay, but did not keep my thumb in place. Returned it
This is listed as left/right handed, but to be truly either, the velcro needs to strap both ways so you can adjust it whether you wrap from left or from right side of it. Instead, if you use on left hand, the strap on wrist goes opposite of what it should be, so you need to re-slide it around a little, if you want to stay where you need it to.That said, it does fit well overall.I would’ve bypassed that issue, if it weren’t that the same thumb braces that run from the wrist, do not keep my thumb from curling. It’s supposed to strap around the thumb at the top half of it, which it does and stays put. But the ribs that keep the thumb straight aren’t very sturdy imho.I tried it on for an hour or so, then decided it’s wasn’t worth keeping. If you don’t mind that it’s slightly more flexible (which for some people might be needed), this will work for you.For me, I needed my thumb not up move very much, and this did not accomplish that.Other than that, it seems well stitched and material is soft not uncomfortable or “scratchy”. Pink was a cool color, but don’t rely on color only. LOL!

Wrist brace support
It's a great brace for wrist. Not for any thumb support though. Had to return.
