As another reviewer mentioned, the screws provided are too large for the holes in the mounting plate ... so BYOS ... Bring Your Own Screws! Don't they try to assemble their own product? I drilled larger holes in the birdhouse thinking that the problem was wood that was too hard. Good thing there is an extra set of holes in the mounting plate. Pretty poor quality control! Other than that, nice quality.Update: The seller contacted me and assured me that they would provide more stringent quality control in the future, so I am upgrading to 4 stars. Will watch future reviews to see if this problem persists.

The only issue I had was the screws were too thick to fit through the holes when attaching the birdhouse, so I had to replace with smaller screws. Seems sturdy in the ground. Wobbles a little in windy conditions but not very much. Just installed today so will see how it holds up.

By far the most stable pole kit I've ever used! The 5 prong base is excellent and is the key to stability. The poles are heavy duty gauge and have good quality threaded segments. The bracket for mounting a bird house has good flexibility, too. You can either put the house on top or on the side. Plenty of holes to align exact placement. I screwed a wren house to the top and the whole setup works great. This company has some other pole sets for hanging things like feeders, baths, and garden flags, too.

It's somewhat sturdy with the screw in pieces. It seems like it'll hold the bird house well enough. I just don't see what makes it so expensive. I bought a bird feeder setup that's taller and has all kinds of attachments yet it was about $20 cheaper. Just as sturdy with a nicer hammered paint finish

I used this for a larger Plow & Hearth birdhouse that was gifted to me. Went on easily, seems plenty sturdy. Super easy install from start to finish. I bought the longer of the 2, and kept the 4th pole out. Will be nice to have it as an option of I want to move it somewhere else in the yard and get it up higher. Very pleased with my purchase.
