After pouring over reviews on multiple travel lap tray/desks, I ordered 2 of these for my 2 1/2 and 4 year olds for our road trip to Yellowstone in a few weeks. These are considerably cheaper than many of the ones on the market but I feel the quality is surprisingly high. Very professional stitching, quality fabrics with large buckles to adjust the fit on the carseats and cute “forest” design on the desk. The underside of the desk has a soft foam so it is comfortable for the kids lap. Lots of storage.The only thing that I would consider knocking 1 or half of one star off is that they smell to high heaven! The only reason that I did not knock off one star due to this, is because in the instructions that you receive with the product it says it may have a smell due to printing fumes(whatever those are???) and that you need to wipe down each desk before first use. I wiped them down with an all purpose cleaner and am currently still airing them out side. As long as the stinch is gone before our roadtrip I consider this a steal of a deal. Both girls are excited to try them out and my 10 year old wants me to buy him one as well.I wish I had invested in one of these years ago as we frequently take roadtrips in the summer.

I purchased two of these and the QUALITY of the ACTUAL product is great!! The bag that they came in, not so much. One of the bags was ripped at the seam when I opened the packaging. As for the trays themselves, the quality is extremely good especially for the price (I paid 16.99 each). The sides are folded down and won’t stand too well but I have a few days before we leave for our trip so I plan to put a cup in each corner and hopefully that will help to reshape the sides. In addition, I believe once it is connected to the car seat that the sides will stand better because of the straps. Now, I will admit these things did not smell pleasant AT ALL!!! I sprayed them with a mixture of vinegar, water, thieves and lemon oil and sat them outside to dry and air out a bit. You could probably use Febreeze or Lysol. OVERALL, I think these are going to truly come in handy!! I would recommend the product but just beware that they’ll need some time to air out, will need help being reshaped and the bags they come in are very cheaply made but really I only paid 16.99 a piece so I’m not complaining!!!

I would leave zero stars if that was an option. This tray is highly ineffective. The sides do not stand up on their own and are very short. There is a gap in the sides near the child's belly and crayons and pencils fall through onto the floor. There is a terrible chemical smell to it, even after wiping it all down. And the tray is not even wide enough to cover the entirety of the carseat lap area so the side pockets sit straight out and the tray sits unsupported on my son's lap. This was a regretful purchase for us. I highly advise against purchasing this item

It did its job, my two year old used it for travel. The sides are compressed from shipment and i'm sure will eventually work there way upright, but right out of the box its a bit annoying for the sides to be laying down the whole trip.

i bought as a gift and it looks like it will work great but i haven't actually had a chance to let the child use it yet so i can't give it 5 stars until i see how it works in a moving vehicle!

Came exactly as described. Seems to be well made and definitely worth it. We are taking a long road trip in a couple months and hopefully this helps keep our 2 year old occupied.

functional, but only giving four stars because if you have a bigger car seat, like for a toddler front-facing, it doesnt strap around the car seat, the strap isn't long enough. but it did well with just laying it on top he was able to eat in the car on our road trip to kansas and everything and he's only two. strongly recommend the product!

My little guy was able to color and play a little easier on our long car ride. My only issue was when he was finished, he lifted the tray and got it stuck on his head. Could be an injury/strangulation hazard.
