Fits very snug, Looks beautiful
This fits perfect on my stainless steering wheel. I have no coating on the steering wheel and it is the standard 5 spoke style Marine Wheel. It clamps on very tightly and looks very nice.It is somewhat small in diameter but I didn't want a huge knob sticking off the wheel. I sticks out about 2 inches off the wheel and makes whipping the boat around a breeze!

I love this thing ...
I love this thing. I was VERY impressed at the weight and sturdy construction of this spinner. I use this kind of device on almost everything; my Jeep, my tractor, my boat, everything with a steering wheel. I've had some pretty cheesy spinners that cost a lot more than this did and were not half as good.It fits the oblong cross section of a "Destroyer wheel" perfectly. It is made to fasten over on a wheel spoke which gives an unequivocal positive control of the wheel. In boats you'll often have one hand on the throttle and one hand on the wheel, this device allows you total control of the wheel using only one hand and you never need to let go of the wheel.I have a 13 inch wheel on my boat and this device gives me full control of the wheel at all times. Whether cruising, trolling or running WOT the wheel is always in complete control with only one hand. It is HEAVY for such a device being made of machined and polished stainless steel. It's not hollow. it is a monolithic block of stainless steel. The attachment system is well engineered and well thought out. When it's tightened up securely it's not going anywhere. Unlike some of the spinners I've had in the past, I didn't have to fight with this to get it installed and it went on the wheel very, very easily. It's almost like it's a custom made part to go on my wheel. It even comes with a nylon lock-nut, the kind of metal nut with threads and a nylon insert crimped in to keep it from backing out on its own. It's little touches like that which tell you someone put some effort and thought into this product. It's a bit smaller than I thought it would be but that's less of a minus and more of a plus. The compact size keeps it from being an issue on my center console where room is at a premium. It easily clears my throttle quadrant with enough room to spare that there's no chance of it hanging up on the throttle or my throttle hand as the wheel moves through its full range of motion. It's easy to grip and control with the web between thumb and index finger or by wrapping my fingers around and over the top of the ball. The little wrench/spanner that comes with it is NOT for installing and tightening everything up. It's to hold one nut while you turn the other one with a real wrench or ratchet socket. Use real tools to install this, don't attempt to put it on your wheel using only the included tool. If you're salty enough to be putting something like this on your helm you should already be able to figure that out.At just under $12 the price was excellent too, and one of the things that helped me decide to order this. There were/are other spinners that look exactly like this for nearly twice the price here on Amazon, anywhere from $18 to $21. It looks to me like they're the same thing, probably made in the same Chinese factory.I've bought a LOT of stuff on Amazon and I would be hard pressed to think of anything I've gotten that I'm more satisfied and happy with than this spinner. This is that good, it's actually made better than the wheel it's mounted on.Now ... the only thing that remains to be seen is how this will hold up to aggressive wheel manipulation, salt/brackish/fresh water, the elements and time. If over time my opinion changes I'll come back and add to this review. In the meanwhile if you don't see an edit this review stands as it is.

greta price value
Its smaller then the regular ones I have seen but I knew about it. Like that is not on the way when you have to put both hands in a fast boat like mine as it is just there for the manouverind. Greta affordable upgrade (with double power steering and 2x300's ... its very handy for docking and manoeuvring). Seems very solid

Smaller than expected
Good quality but smaller than expected. Fitment was perfect and installation took a couple minutes.

Overall Good Value
The knob is a bit small for most mens hands imo, and it doesn't rotate super smoothly, but I can't be extremely displeased for the price.
