When you need to keep the momentum going
Good when you need an electrolyte fix if you're constantly physically active. You get consistent energy instead of an instant adrenaline boost and crash as times goes on like energy drinks or pre-workout beverages. Since you do not get an adrenaline rush, you are less likely to get reckless in a competitive game, taking risky shots and may cost your team or yourself the match or game if the other team is well prepared. Conversely you can say you can dominate the other team with the latter to products, but you're putting more emphasis on luck rather than skill and not striving for future improvement. So, what I'm trying to say is, the product is good for endurance activities that doesn't depreciate your skill/energy level. This beverage is very similar toย G Organic, Variety Pack, Gatorade Sports Drink, Organic Hydration, USDA Certified Organic, 16.9 Fl Oz. Bottle, 12 Count ย in liquid consistency and taste. The liquid is thinner than regular Gatorade; making it go down easier. Taste wise, it has less sugar and more fruit flavor than regular GatoradeBottle design is okay. It doesn't have pronounced ridges or curves like the Gatorade brands I've tried and the paper that wrap around the bottle is slightly more slippery, which may be an issue is you have very sweaty hands during physical activity. If you had a choice between the G organic Gatorade and this product, when both being at the same price/similar desired flavor; I'd go for the G organic due to the better grip, especially when you're physically active and need to grab the bottle without thinkingOverall if you need some electrolytes to keep you going , this may be something to look into.

A surprisingly tart, lemony flavor
I was expecting to get something similar-tasting to a Gatorade: a tiny bit of saltiness, but mostly sugar. I was surprised, then, to find that the taste was much more tart (lemony, in this instance), yet not so tart as to be puckering. The flavor is sweet enough to *remind* me of Gatorade -- and I suspect it may be as sweet, since the tartness could offset some of the actual sugar content -- but it was overall a nice change from Gatorade's pale variety of (always sweet) flavors. I don't normally drink soda, so I can't really compare the two insofar as the taste of sugars go.I usually drink one of these after a 1-2hr bike ride, and those more-than-2000-calorie-days is about the only time I'll have one. Even so, I found that I like to "cut" it in half with water, or 1/3 water; I think it still tastes good that way -- like a very weak sweet tea with a hint of lemon -- and cutting it makes sure I'm not overloading on sugar for the day, which is easy enough to do.Overall, I'm not sure that I'd actually go out and buy these at the store on purpose, BUT, given the choice between these and Gatorade, I'd pick these. The flavor just seems more natural in this product, and whether it actually is or not, I'd probably be happier thinking I was drinking something made with actual lemons than to have the yellow Gatorade that doesn't really even pretend to be lemony.

Not bad
I personally am just 3 stars about this product. Theyre just plain ok. But I feel like that has a slightly negative connotation, so maybe 3.5? I'm just very ambivalent about it. I'm not sure these are any healthier than gatorade type sports drinks. I thought maybe it would utilize a naturally occurring electrolyte liquid like coconut milk or maple water or I don't know something that I could really tell myself was better for me. And to be fair, I don't know that this ISN'T better. But the ingredients aren't all that different with the potential substitute of cain sugar for high fructose corny syrup and a rather paltry 5% juice. Which is an improvement. And one I would probably get behind if these were as readily available as other sports drink, or if the favor was improved. I feel like right now you're getting slightly better for you at the cost of slightly not as good taste. A little less sweet and a little more watered down tasting than a regular sports drink and at a potentially higher cost. I need them to be cheaper, or taste better, or be much better for you before I really make a concerted effort to switch.

Lemony without being too sweet or tart and does what a sports drink should do
Gatorade and such seems to be the go-to of the Sports drink world. I have a sweet tooth and usually have no problem with the sweetness of those drinks, but my husband always has to water his down. If you're like my husband and want a sports drink that isn't quite so sweet, this is the way to go.Somehow in my mind "organic lemon" became synonymous with lemonade, and while I like lemonade just fine I was still pleasantly surprised to find a much more mellow, even close to bitter and tart (without actually being those definitions) taste. It's fairly mild, it's not sweet, and it tastes like lemon. All in all, tasty and refreshing without any lip puckering or gagging sweetness. The brand lives up to its Honest name with your basic sources of electrolytes and organic and fair trade sugars (minimum of 75%). I daresay it was a shorter list than other sports drinks. So, in conclusion, our household likes this drink and this flavor. It does what a sports drink ought to do, and it tastes pretty good.
