We don't have an automatic ice maker in our freezer, but wanted some ice over the holidays, so I bought these.They were OK. The lids don't fit very well, they tend to be flopsy when trying to fill them and taking them to the freezer, and for some reason, it seemed like they took forever to freeze. None of these were dealbreakers -- if I had posted a review right away, I would probably have given them 4 stars.Then one day, despite frequent washings, the ice tasted bad. Although the freezer doesn't smell when you open the door or anything, there are still smells in the freezer from various vegetables and other frozen items. I tried several different ways to wash the odor out: soaking in dishwater, soaking in vinegar, then vinegar and baking soda, soaking in vodka, even spraying it with a nontoxic Zero Odor spray. I haven't yet tried a UV light or soaking it in bleach water, but if it does work, I might try to use them to sort craft supplies or something, because I really don't want to jump through this many hoops each time they're washed.Due to silicone absorbing odors, I can't recommend these ice trays.

Kind of a pain to remove the ice, they contour to whatever they are laying on so, place them on a FLAT surface once you fill them, otherwise they may spill over.Nice size cubes, just a slight annoyance with the way they hold water.

For a moment I thought I detected a rubbery essence on some of the cubes. But I checked again and I think maybe not. These work well, and are easy to handle IF you support them underneath when you put them into the freezer. A little twist could result in a little spill. But overall, these are terrific and I would order again if I need lots of ice.

At first I loved these, but after a couple uses they started so smell really weird and making our ice taste really bad. So bad I can't use them anymore. Which is really disappointing because they were so great at first. I have tried cleaning them several times and letting them dry completely before refilling. There is nothing in my freezer to make them smell/taste this way. So I really am unsure why this happened. I see that I was not the only one to have this problem though.

A bit flimsy when you're moving to the freezer. But a good product

When I opened the package, I saw stains on the trays and dirt inside the cubes! I washed them and the stains didn't go away, plus I didn't like the strong smell. I have other silicone products that don't smell like this. Plus, how can you trust a company that has a bunch of misspellings on the label!??

I freeze espresso in these trays and it is easy to press an espresso cube out of the tray. Lids are plastic unfortunately.

I LOVED these! My old trays were very difficult for my arthritic hands. These just pop right out with a little push from the bottom!
