I only purchased this remote control for one reason - BOSE stupidly makes it impossible to set up WiFi on the smart soundbar without the tiny remote control - which you better hold on to because it is perpetually OUT OF STOCK. I’ll answer the question no one else has, so you don’t have to take a chance on five different remote like I did - THIS ONE WORKS FOR SETTING UP WIFI ON THE BOSE SMART SOUNDBARS. I was able to press the mute + TV buttons to kick the soundbar into configuration mode.

I ordered a Bose Sound Bar 9 via Best Buy and it came without the remote control. Best Buy said I would have to return the entire thing. Not wanting to do that, I got on Customer Service for Bose. They did not have any controls to send me then, so the chat guy directed me to this remote as a useful placekeeper while I waited for the OEM Remote to arrive. Worked great. Cannot use it to pair devices, but it does turn the speaker on and off and control volume.
