I purchased two of these as Christmas gifts for my grandsons. They have had so much fun with them and I would highly recommend these toys.

Got it for my 6 year old nephew for Christmas, though I didn't have a chance to give it to him until now. He loved it. I was worried about the durability based on previous reviews, but it seems durable enough. The fins are a soft plastic, so when they hit the ground they bend instead of break.The only issue I had with it was that the ring that moves the fins for handedness doesn't lock in place, so they will drift back to neutral instead of staying put, which means you have to check and reset them every few throws or so. That being said, it does make it easier to move them for every throw when you're playing catch with someone that has a different handedness, so there's a bit of a tradeoff.Overall it's a good toy for the money.

This was a great toy, until it became a dog toy. We have a German Shepared, what's ours was his chew toy. This was considerably cheaper in its larger size compared to its name-brand counterpart, but it was still functioning the same. It was larger and better to hold in my large hands, and bright in color to spot easily if tossed too far. But it eventually became a chew toy for the dog when it grabbed it and ran away like the thief he was.

The media could not be loaded. The Sonic Fin is amazing when it is set up and thrown correctly. The reason it works so well is that it is not a regular projectile but more like a flying machine with gyroscopic lift. Read the instructions. The adjustable fins must be set correctly for left or right handed throwers and adjusted depending on how hard you can throw. The more we practiced the better we got - so much fun to have the fine tuning adjustability. When it is thrown at the right angle it flys magically level to the ground like no other ball. Everyone who set it correctly loved their throws. If you just get it out of the box and throw it you might be disappointed. We had two young guys who have played college baseball throw it over 100 yards!

Very difficult to throw, hard on you hands to catch. Left it behind in a campsite for the next person to try.

Worked better for me in windy conditions. Throw it like a football but spin your whole hand (especially if adult or full grown teenager) rather than just your pointer &/or middle finger. You want to play with this on the beach or grass. If in the street you’ll beat it up. If throwing right handed you may have to compensate to the left a little & if lefty vice versa. I still like the old school “throw tron” better but this toy is decent. You can get decent range with little strength but it takes a little bit to get the hang of it.

Bought this for a cousin gift for Christmas and it was the biggest hit! I had no idea that it was so so cool. All the boys went outside straight away to go play some football. I will be buying a few more to have on hand for sure. This has been a great purchase!
