LPD47391 Low Pressure Drop 40k Transmission Oil Cooler Compatible with Tru Cool Heavy Duty 40,000 GVW Max Trans Cooler with Mounting Hardware (Black)

Works great so far, it is large and may not fit smaller vehicles but was easy to install on my 03 Chevy avalanche and keeps the transmission under 160* even when towing. I did bypass the radiator built in heat exchanger as I live in the south and do not need a trans heater.

Has preformed spectacular on my truck. It's a mildly build 5.3 with an extremely built 4l60E it keeps temp noticeably lower and holds pretty consistently when I abuse the truck will purchase for any project

Installed on my 2016 Silverado prior to an 850 mile trip while hauling my C10 just for piece of mind. Halfway through the trip my stock trans cooler cracked as we pulled into the hotel, leaking trans fluid everywhere. I just Re-routed the lines to bypass the stock cooler and use this as the primary. Worked great going through the mountains in 100° weather, this along with the trans TBV kept the temps around 130-140°. 5 months now and no issues whatsoever. For a fraction of the cost that the mishimoto goes for, this does the same job imo. The ONLY thing I needed was additional hose to route it how I wanted. $14 for an additional 5ft of hose at NAPA.

Bought this in October of 2024 for my 2014 silverado 1500 5.3L because they're known for over heating transmissions. So I got this, installed it and it worked great for a full year and then it randomly cracked and all of my transmission fluid leaked out while I was driving and threw my transmission out. Obviously driving at night there is no way to know it was leaking until my truck would no longer move. Didn't know this cooler has a one year expiration date. There was no reason for this cooler to randomly crack after a year and leak all the fluid out.

Just what my son wanted and needed!

Mounted this on my 91 gmc very east to install. Has kept my trans fluid from overheating. Hight recommend it for anyone not trying to spend alot on a high end cooler.

So far so good install was straight froward and it’s does what it’s supposed to as of now, cool temps, good size, overall good bang for your buck. If anything happens I’ll follow up. Forgot to mention I didn’t use the hose the kit came with I bought my own but still good after 2 months of use
