I was looking to get a barrel smoker, but chose this to put on my Weber Kettle. It has worked out perfectly, great construction and it fits snug on the kettle. Only complaint is the hooks that come with it are too small, recommend getting bigger hooks. I have used it several times to make ribs and chicken.

This turned my weber kettle into a full fledged smoker. The temperature is easy to regulate. The ring will allow for up to 3 standard 22 inch Weber kettle grates to allow for even more cooking area. So you can smoke a lot of meat on the grill, or hang a lot of meat vertically with the hanging frame. The construction is sturdy enough and the ring sits cleanly on the kettle. I did have an issue with the hanging frame being warped (likely shipment damage) and not sitting cleanly on the top. I contacted the seller and they sent me out a replacement free of charge. So excellent customer service. Looking forward to many meat feasts with this upgrade to my weber kettle.

I like this set up but looking back I probably should have just bought a weber smokey mountain. I take it back this set up is far more versatile than the smokey mountain. Often times I will put a grill grate instead of the hanging rack. That let's you cook directly over the coals without burning your meat and you can use the entire grate space.

Probably one of the best things I've gotten our Weber. Yes it's large but we plan to smoke fish, links and much better than having a separate smoker. Also develops the lost skill of manual smoking. Has perfect hole placements.
