I purchased this for a pair of Sennheiser 598 SE phones since I’ve been wanting a balanced connection. Honestly, this cable exceeds all my expectations: the woven cover is very nice and doesn’t introduce any microphonics from rubbing, the connector fits the Sennheisers perfectly and the wooden jack just looks cool.

I ordered this cable for my Sennheiser 560s headphones. It's a perfect fit.Now compared to the supplied 3.5 cable ...well there's really no comparison. I have this paired with a Moondrop Dawn Pro dac/amp and have used both the 3.5 and 4.5 sides. They try to say cables don't make any difference, but I will tell you this one does.Using this cable and the Dawn Pro has given the 560s a new lease on life. Everything has improved dramatically, from the base to the soundstage. If you are wanting a excellent balanced cable, well this one will certainly be the one. The walnut plug is beautiful and the cover is very nice too.

I have a small FIIO KA3 DAC/AMP and this essentially doubles the power while cleaning up the signal! It boosted my Sennheiser HD599 phones to a loudness and clarity that was not there prior to getting this. This cable really helps DAC/AMP combos reach their full potential. It is a very high quality constructed cable too with an elegant aesthetic. I am a new fan of balanced cables for audio fidelity and power delivery!

With this cable you can plug into a balanced 4.4 jack with the Sennheiser 620s. The cable is more than 1/2 the price of the OEM cable which is optional and not included in the USA package by Sennheiser.

I bought this to use with the Koss KPH40, and it really does improve the sound quality compared to the stock 3.5 mm cable. It is a bit unwieldy on those headphones due to the length, and weight, but honestly the improvement in sound quality is worth the tradeoff.If NewFantasia offered a shorter length 2.5 mm male, to 4.4 mm male cable, I would recommend that for the KPH40.

Very impressed. A balanced cable for the Sennheiser HD560s is very hard to find. Normally a good quality one has to be custom made. I was a little skeptical after using two previous NewFantasia headphone cables. The first was so stiff and thin that it was nearly unusable (returned). The second cable was much better, but still a little too stiff (still very usable and kept it). This cable was not stiff at all and much thicker with higher quality connectors. I’d say it is 80%-90% of the incredible custom cables I had made for other headphones by AudioNinja Cables but at half the cost. In fact I could find only one custom cable maker that makes these balanced 560s cables and they were $80. Excellent cable at a very reasonable price. I’m glad I gave NewFantasia another try.

I used this cable not with sennheisers, but with an old Ultrasone Signature DJ (Pro would also work) which has the same 2.5mm locking mechanism to headphones. Considering I couldn't find any replacement cable for these headphones under $120, and I did waste my money on a custom cable that was microphonic to heck, knowing any 2.5mm locking cable will work lowers the price barrier of replacing the cable. Took a shot on these because I wanted to test the balanced side of my amp.The good, it works perfectly fine. It quite literally is a wire without gain and did not make any noticeable changes to the sound. It is a 4.4mm balanced connection and there are no weird wiring or connectivity issues with my Topping A70 Pro amp.The bad, and why it deserves 3 stars. It is fairly microphonic, not as microphonic as a custom replacement cable I had made for these headphones, but its still there. The rugged material its made from doesn't have any coating like some IEM cables to make it rub smoothly against your shirt and the such. Its not so terrible as to be grating all day (like my custom cable) but its not a desirable feature and definitely isn't a part of most OEM cables with rubberized outer layer.The TLDR, the microphonics are a big deal to me, but they aren't actually a big problem. With light rubbing its mostly quiet, but its there and if you're sensitive to it, it will annoy you. If you want a replacement cable, or your headphones support balanced drive and you just got a new toy, you cant do much worst with this cable.

Works well with my HD 400 Pros. Nice quality! Definite volume and power boost appreciated from my balanced output on the Shanling UA4 DAC/Amp Dongle. Get some tight rumbling bass out of this setup now.
