Good price point.
Hefty handle very grippy can't say have ever had this material should be good in all environments. Fit and finish good, this knife is a tool not a show piece. Sharp enough but what knife couldn't be sharper depending on purpose. This is a chunk of steel with a nice blade profile. Sheath is nice fits knife well, good retention, not cheesey leather. No disapointments here.

Versatile
The knife is swift and beautiful, perfectly balanced with handle to blade ratio. And the sheath is ready for your belt as well as strong and durable. Of course with it being so large you can’t help but feel like a real man about to do some real man stuff. Or a real woman.

It is actually cold temperature wise
I wish the handle was more comfortable otherwise everything else seems functional, durable, and the blade size is good. I do think for myself personally I would have preferred the blade to be a little skinnier but it was supposed to be a gift and I ended up keeping it. Anyways all and all seems like a decent knife I guess, definitely the biggest one I’ve had.

A heavy knife with great balance
Just opened the box for the Leatherneck. It was well packaged and in perfect condition even though it was mailed in a soft bag from Amazon. Delivery was only a couple of days after my order was placed. Always pleased with Amazon serviceNow for the knife. It came very sharp with a light bead of oil on the blade. The blade is perfectly straight and it appears made to last a lifetime even with heavy use. I find it hard to believe the quality of this knife for the price. I was going to buy the Ka Bar but after reading the reviews I decided on the leatherneck. The knife is sturdy and I like that the piece between the blade and handle is thicker than a Ka Bar and it is not off set as I have seen on the Ka Bar knives. The metal is very smooth and shaped to fit the hand comfortably. . I am very pleased with this knife and it does live up to the Cold steel description. The sheath is perfect. It removes easily but does not fall out when turned. I may cut off the cloth clip because it is not needed with this sheath. I recommend the leatherneck without reservation.

Probably the best kabar clone/version I've seen, especially for the money
This knife has been through quite a bit, I've used it for batoning, chopping through sappy pine branches, feather sticking, being dropped several times edge down on concrete for testing. The D2 steel is probably the best way to go for a knife like this, and given that Ka-bars official D2 option is double the price of this I couldn't recommend it more. There is a few issues however, firstly the handle is made of rubber, which has amazing grip but will wear out eventually over time, not sure if it's something repairable but it may be. The clip that holds the knife on the frog is held by a single seam, which isn't confidence inspiring to say the least. Some pros-Edge retention is amazingThicker tang that official Ka-Bar offeringsGrip is solid, comfortable, and grippy.Scabbard holds knife very well, frog isn't amazing but not terrible. Some cons-Rubber handle will wear out over timesingle stitch to secure knife to frogfinish isn't super durable, but definitely reasonable(Nitpick): The lettering is very bold and lacks subtly, not something that affects usability at all but just a little thing I don't love.Conclusion-I would buy this knife a million times again, it's priced insanely competitively compared to other options and never disappointed. Being dropped edge first on concrete and not even dulling a noticeable amount was a great plus. For outdoor or even tactical uses, this knife would perform great.

5 star knife with one very irritating defect
The media could not be loaded. I’m a knife collector, user, and enthusiast. I have everything from across the spectrum when it comes to knives – fixed, folding, multi-tool, et cetera. This knife has my favorite handle of any knife I own. The round-ish KA-BAR style handle is a classic for a reason: the design is great ergonomics.Cold Steel perfected it with the concave sides.I haven’t put this knife to a field test so I cannot comment on the durability of the steel and other points, but I have no doubts about its construction: it’s a Cold Steel. My grievance is that the guard is just slightly loose by a fraction and it makes a rattling noise. SEE VIDEO – HAVE YOUR SOUND ONThis is not a functional defect – this knife will still do everything a non-rattling knife will do. It’s just a particularly irritating detail. It’s like a permanent bird poop splatter on the hood of a Ferrari. You still have a Ferrari and it still goes just as fast – but with a bird poop splatter on its hood.Bottom line: get the knife. It’s superb. Just be aware of the annoying slight defect your knife may come with.

Decent combat/utility knife
Nice and tough, takes a razor sharp edge, and it looks cool. Considerably heavier than a Ka-bar on account of the much thicker tang.
