Does what it says it does, just a little small, flimsy, and the light is a bit weak
An OK unit for beginners or intermediate users when priced competitively, ordered with a significant promo. They use another company's app and there is also no website for the company, so its a bit sketchy knowing it's just a whitelabeled knockoff that put in less effort than most to look legitimate.Instructions are absent or poor about some things, i.e. pump install, light use, maintVery small, light unit extension easily pops out when trying to extend, can only support two small leafted lettuce plants at a time despite all the sites. The light is a bit weak too, not adequate for growth. What you see there has been supplemented by 1000w samsung LED grow lights by placing this unit on the floor on the outside of the effective light perimeter. The lettuce quickly grew about 30-35 days what you see there, I had 3 but had to pull one early for the other two to reach maturity given the tiny space.

I have a similar smart hydroponic system and love this one as much
I live where it has been brutally hot for over a month and with no end in sight for August. That means I cannot grow many things well outside - just too hot! I love salad and I love to use fresh herbs in cooking and making some special foodie items (fresh pesto from basil, a family dill dip everyone loves) so what I do is use this hydroponic system to start and grow food for me - why buy a head of lettuce that isn't nearly as fresh as that one head I clip and eat today? I have been experimenting with small cherry tomatoes and sweet peppers in one of my hydroponic systems - peppers are doing great, tomatoes are just too rangy for this small of a hydroponic system. I'll need to get a larger tub and make a cage so I can let the tomato do it's rangy thing in order to get tomatoes. Same with cucumbers that climb and are a bit rangy. But this hydroponic system is GREAT for salad greens (try a Swiss Chard or spinach, too) and many herbs like chives, basil, dill, rosemary - if you've been thinking about it, DO IT! Grow some fresh food for you and your family in this easy-to-use hydroponic system. I mean, it will take you maybe 10 minutes to set up but do be aware - no seeds come with this kit. Pick up an assorted lettuce seed packet which might run $3.00 or so and you'll be seeing seedlings in about 4-5 days. Great way to introduce kids to growing food.

Very nice unit. Instructions may be lacking for a newbie but I own 9 growers right now.
UPDATE:I discovered that the automatic light settings are different than were originally detailed in the listing. I contacted the manufacturer and they got back to me promptly. They explained that there was a mistake in the listing info, which they now have corrected, and also reminded me that I can install the app and do custom controls from there. So the correct auto timing of the light is: Seedling mode it is only on for 8 hours, then in Veg mode it is something like 12 hours, and in the Flower/Ripening mode it is on 16 hours then off for 8 hours. However, if you use the app (I did) and I can set the exact hours that I want for the light, mode, and even the pump. I set mine for the light to be on from a specific time each morning until 16 hours later, and repeat daily, and the pump to run 30 minutes on, 30 minutes off. So now I don’t have to be concerned about what the ‘auto’ setting do, I can run it exactly to my preferences. I am going to add one star back for this, so 5 stars from me. I am loving my new machine and already transplanted some of my seedlings into my hydroponic bucket system and also have spinach beginning to sprout which will grow out in this machine without the need to transplant it.I own 9 tabletop hydroponic growing systems, so I can set them up in my sleep practically, so clear instructions are not an issue for me, but I do know that my mother received one that was not clear to her, an inexperienced grower, so I know how important clear instructions are. This grower may have had some detailed information in the instructions but the printing was so small that I had to use a magnifying glass to read them. I did notice that there were no instructions on how to set up the pump. Since the pump was just laying inside the reservoir and not installed into its position, and the sponges to keep debris out of it were also just laying inside, so instructions might keep another person from hooking it up wrong or returning it because the don’t know how it is supposed to be hooked up.Besides the instruction issue that is not a problem for me, I like the grower. The light is able to go up quite tall so I don’t think it will be an issue to grow a few dwarf cherry tomato plants in this grower. I will have to use my pod holes with covers from another unit because this one did not include empty pod covers, like most other units usually include. There are an extra set of sponges though, so that is nice. The water level window is nice and wide so you can easily see inside and the fill hole is right up front so it should be easy to top the fluids up when needed. With the 14 pods being so close to each other, this will probably be my seed starter unit mainly. And that will be easier with this unit because it has something different than most of my other units and that is 3 light settings instead of just two. There is a seedling setting, a veg setting, and a fruit/flower setting. This unit is also a Smart grower because you can use it with a Smart Life App. I like that ability because it allows me to have some control over the device even when I am not at home. With the app I can control the power switch, pump switch, light mode, and check the nutrient countdown gauge too. It recommends that you change the nutrient every 2 weeks so the countdown is there to remind you when that is due.Of my 9 units I would put this one in the #3 position, a strong 3rd. I will update this listing if anything changes but for now I am giving this unit 5 stars. I've got it filled with my seeds and will be watching for sprouts soon.

So easy and fun
The media could not be loaded. I got this large white hydroponic growing system it’s very easy to use and I’m already sprouting a few vegetables. The instructions were not very clear at all but there are a couple of videos already posted about where to put the pump and the filter that comes with this machine. Trust me I was clueless as well. After you finally get everything together it’s very easy to put the seeds in the sponges and submerge the sponges in the water through the designated spots. I started mine in the seedling mode and somehow it switched over to vegetable mode but no worries because they are still doing very well and I already have some tomatoes sprouting. I will say the light is extremely bright which may be a downer for some people who keep this in their bedroom but ours is in the kitchen so at night it really doesn’t matter. I really love this machine because it makes growing fruits and vegetables a very simple process. I hope you find this review helpful if so please let me know down below.
