Great item. You'll be glad you bought it.
This item is exactly what I needed. I'm a type 1 diabetic with a bad pressure ulcer on my heel. As long as I'm sleeping on my side everything is great. As soon as I move to my back and my heel is resting on the bed... Not a good feeling. When I received this I was completely thrilled with it. It's soft, fluffy and the leather is soft and playable. The Velcro closure could be a little longer for women with smaller feet. It's well made and no loose seams. I would recommend this item to anyone. I'm truly in love with it and it's making my nights way more comfortable. I'm so glad I decided to get this item. Completely worth the money.

Comfortable and durable.
These stay in place through the night...they really prevent feet from getting pressure sores.

Worst ever
Seams sewn so they are exposed lumps on inside. Sheep skin low quality so not enough wool to protect from bulky seams. Flaps of hide in heal cup exposed without any wool. Using on very narrow feet, ladies size 8 and they just barely rest at low start of instep with the back okf thee cup making it just 1.5 up ankle. I'd a bit more was used to cover instep and up ankle, more comfort/ less irritating fit. The Velcro strap is very stiff and sharp. A double strap would provide better fit and less pain especially as cup shifts greatly due to poor design fit or if feet swell. Purchased two and only one is usable due to extreme poor quality. Added bandage padding made other usable. Definitely an expensive lesson. Do not buy.apologies for bad sentence and spelling (another poor Amazon product choice poorly at work).

Nice but don't stay on in bed
These are well made and very soft. However, I bought them for my husband to wear in bed. They do not stay on when he moves in bed. I will need to add straps or maybe a very stretchy sock to wear over this heel protector.

Recommended by podiatry specialist
This heel protector was recommended by a podiatry doctor. It works well for sleeping to help keep pressure of the foot and especially the heel area. The star 3 rating rather than a 5 star rating is because the Velcro strap is to long. In order to keep the protector on the foot during the night I need to just catch just the last part of the Velcro strap. Otherwise it comes off during the night.

Stays Put
These are great fitting and stay on the whole night. Finally a wonderful closing system for adjustments. I was using a different type, thicker wool but terrible closing and didn't stay on.

Very small, just one per package
These are pretty nicely made, but wayyyy too small for an adult man. Also, I didn’t notice in the description that the package just has ONE in it. But that doesn’t matter because I can’t use it anyway. These would probably be great for your 5-foot-tall 85 pound granny

Very helpful and comfy for post achilles surgery
My achilles surgery turned out to be more involved than I planned. I was really suffering with the boot, there was too much play in the heel area, and it was rubbing on my incision and it didn't hold my heel securely. This sheepskin heel protector totally solved that problem! It adds padding to my bruised feeling heel, and it snugs my heel into my boot, keeping my heel from moving and sliding around. I wear a longer, white sock with reinforced toe/heel, and then place this heel protector over it. Put my boot on, and it's like night and day as far as comfort goes. I went in for a doctor follow up last week, and my surgeon was really interested in it. Can't believe I'm the first patient to use such a thing, but he acted like he'd never seen one before, and I suspect he'll be recommending them to other patients!Only thing, and I don't feel it's worth docking a point for, is that it has an odd smell when it warms up from the heat of my foot. It gets a small moist spot, that smells a bit weird. But it dries back up, and odor goes away. I'm guessing it is some type of residual from the tanning process?
