Floodshield Flood Sock 1.5m Barrier

In heavy rain water slowly seeps into a section of our cellar and runs across the floor. I put this down dry on the floor and when it rained it soaked up the water, expanded, and blocked it from flowing away. I don't know how this would deal with a lot of water, but for the slow seep it was great at adsorbing.

These flood socks contain water absorbing pellets which swell up to about three and a half inches high. This can take about 30 minutes or more. The swollen pellets sometimes have to be redistributed (with your foot) along the length to make a barrier to flowing water and it obviously can’t cope with a depth of much more than a couple of inches. It can be quite useful for diverting a moderate flow away from vulnerable areas. When fully wet they are heavy to move ( the 10 foot one especially).

This product worked initially when I needed it but after only a week the end seam split and the insides kept spilling out. Such a shame because in theory this could be a great product. Tried to contact the company but couldn't find the details so couldn't complain privately or ask for refund/replacement

This would not stop large amounts of flowing water, it does not swell large enough, is a little saggy, stop small amounts of water so far

The shield sock burst after absorbing too much water, the substance leaked out.

Was sitting in water for 10 minutes and stayed exactly the same and flat ! Did not inflate , going back to sand bags . May be heavy and take up space but at least they work ! This thing does not
