Love It!
I was looking for an economical tent for a family of 6 that I could take backpacking. I bought 2 of these and just loved them. They are very well thought out in the design and ease of putting together, I wish the footprint came with it, but even for an extra $30 it's still far cheaper than anything else of quality. They were not overly roomy with 3 people, and our backpacks, but we didn't feel like sardines either. Honestly I expected it to be more cramped. I definitely recommend this tent!Update- Apr 2021,Took it backpacking at Caprock Canyon with my brother, still a wonderful tent!!! I'll probably go lighter for backpacking by myself, but it's still a wonderfully light tent for a family or 3 people.Update Aug '21Just got back from a 4 day backpacking trip in Colorado. I was planning on taking a smaller, half the weight tent, but it didn't come in on time. I'm impressed every time I set this one up. It's so simple you could set it up in the dark. It is starting to get some frays in the fabric, but I imagine it'll last a while longer. The visibility without the rain fly is amazing. If there's no rain or dew I highly recommend sleeping with the fly off, it's just beautiful!!! For a no name cheap tent, I just couldn't be more impressed. I already bought a $400 ultralight 2p tent to replace this one, but I will continue to come back to this one when I take out my whole family.Update Aug 2022Just got back from taking a group of 7 backpacking near Crested Butte. Yet again these were wonderful tents. I had 5 kids sleeping in 2 of them. They are easy to set up and are still holding together perfectly. We got rained on everyday but they were completely rainproof, except the day it rained on us for 6 hrs. There was condensation build up, but on my $400 tent I had the same issue. Still a great tent!

Lightweight and waterproof, very easy to set up
When this item arrived, we were in the middle of a torrential downpour for about 5 days. Setting up the tent was super quick and very easy and we started this inside the house. My 9 year old even said, "That was easy" when we had finished. When the rain stopped for about an hour, we walked the tent outside into the backyard and pegged it to the ground. Then the torrential rain continued for another few days. Each day, I looked inside the tent and dry as a bone. Very well made and the design is very well thought out. In terms of the dual door openings, this is an excellent design where falling rain didn't go into the tents as you enter. This tent was used with the groundsheet suited for it. The only minor comment is that the ground sheet was made only for the foot print of the tent base and not the door opening areas.

Held up awesome in rain and wind
I did a lot of research when buying this tent and I ended up getting this model primarily due to the price and the decent reviews. Having only used big box store Coleman type tents in the past, I wanted something a little better but at a good price.I've had this tent out multiple times in the last 9 months, with the real test being a weekend at Halsey National Forest. A massive thunderstorm came through on our second night with over an inch of rain and 50+ mph winds.I set up this tent using a ground mat, the rain fly, and the provided tent stakes and guy lines. Despite receiving torrential rain, there wasn't a drop of water inside the tent the next morning. The seams are all sealed well and the fly closes down over the zippered tent doors to keep out the wind and rain. With temps down into the 40s overnight, I used a Coleman BlackCat heater in the tent for awhile before going to bed and it warmed the tent nicely. On another trip, it was hotter with no rain in the forecast so I left the fly off completely. It was a joy to lay in bed and be able to look up at the stars and get some nice ventilation.Setup is very simple with this tent, as the aluminum poles are all connected with a bungee cord and are one unit that just snaps together. The smaller size of the tent makes it easy to reach the attachment clips. Tearing down the tent is just as simple, just reverse the steps. Rolling up the tent and getting it back into the bag is not a problem. Just keep it tight as you roll and it will fit.The tent seems durable and I think it will last a long time. I did invest in some heavier tent stakes with a "just in case" mentality after the storm. I did dock the weight one star just because if you're hiking your tent in, this tent probably isn't the best option. But they do sell a smaller version that would probably be more suited as a hiking tent.I bought the 2-3 person version, and honestly, it was just the right size for one person plus gear. I can't imagine having three people in this tent. Two would be doable, however.

Best bang for the buck
This is overall great tent with great finish and sophisticated parts with nicely designed joinery. The joints are well sealed with tape for water tightness. I used my Kelty tent for 22 years and it’s zipper started giving issues and poles broke. I bought this tent after 2 months of research online and visiting REI, etc. A lot of tents are unnecessarily over priced for the brand name and I was not ready spend that.Last weekend was the test of this tent and it performed well in a windy rainstorm. By the end of 1 hour of storm I saw some wetness on the bug screen inside the fly and some parts of the fly were wet but I did not get any water inside the tent.Assembling and dismantling was quite easy. My only suggestion would be to have bigger bags to repack the tent. One is already exhausted after 2-3 days of camping so packing the tent should be made easy instead one is concerned whether the tent would fit back in the bag! This could be an of concern. Could there be just straps that tighten the whole tent that could then slip in the bag swiftly than having to wrestle with it? Same goes with the footprint. It’s a struggle that could be averted or reduced by good design. The quality of cloth is really nice and it feels very good while handling it. Some of the very high end tents do not demonstrate such good workmanship as well as this tent. Highly recommend it!
