The SakLoyola Mini Backpack in Leather, Convertible Design with Adjustable Strap, Black

The media could not be loaded. I had already a brown Ventura Convertible Backpack from the Sak and wanted one black, but smaller.For a long time I searched other brands, stores and websites comparing all convertible purses (online and in person), but I would always come back to this one because it had the majority of the things I wanted: perfect size, style, made of leather, and versatile in 3 ways (backpack, shoulder, crossbody).I bought the style "Tobacco Floral Embossed". The leather feels soft, genuine and smells great too! The inside fabric feels nice as well.In the front of the purse it didn't have the logo of "The Sak", but I was quite happy about that since I don't like logos on stuff. My only disappointment was that the color of the braid was not what I expected. It looks like a black-blueish color instead of the natural black seen in the pictures. So it distracts me a bit because it's not the same color of the purse. Also, I thought it would be leather, but it's sort of a fuzzy texture that can eventually deteriorate or break if you're not careful.There are 3 zippered compartments, 2 in the front and 1 in the back with beige fabric. The pockets don't open very wide, so it might be a little uncomfortable trying to find quickly what you're looking for. The small front zippered compartment is a little exposed in the corners since it doesn't zip completely. The corners aren't tucked in like in the pictures. I tried to fold the corners in, but it wouldn't stay put. So if you put small things inside that pocket there is a possibility it may fall out.The main compartment has one small zippered pocket inside, 3 slots for credit cards and one pocket that is great to put your cellphone.The two front compartments have a gold/brown zipper teeth with one pull-on tassel for each. The zipper teeth in the back pocket is black with a silver hardware pull-on. All three zipper sliders and ring buckle hardware of the straps are color silver.Wearing the purse as a backpack can many times be troublesome trying to put it on since the straps can move a lot making the purse fall to one side, but once you get the hang of it it gets easier. I hold the handle to balance the purse and adjust the straps if necessary, then I put my arms through each strap while holding the handle of the purse.I don't carry a lot of things in the purse, the cellphone being the only heavy accessory inside. Since I'm wary that putting too much weight can eventually break the handle if I hold it from there, I prefer not to carry a lot of heavy things. Also, I always like to hold the purse from the bottom instead of the handle to avoid a lot of tension and reduce the risk of breaking.My Ventura Sak purse has the option to open the strap buckle to remove the straps from the purse in case you want to replace it. This purse doesn't have that option, making me being extra careful with the straps to avoid any unnecessary damage since it can't be replaced easily.I use the purse occasionally (about once a week or two), so I don't know how long it may hold up.It took about 1 ½ week to ship and then another 5 days to arrive to Puerto Rico.When the package arrived, the mail man threw the purse in my garage. To my dissatisfaction there wasn't any bubble wrap to protect the purse, it only came in a plastic bag. Thankfully there weren't any scratches.Even though I knew the purse had some issues with the straps as well as other details mentioned by other reviewers and I already had a similar experience with my other Sak purse, it was the only one in the end that had everything I wanted. I don't regret buying it and it always goes great with my outfits!

I love this purse. It has enough pockets. It's big enough to hold car keys, glasses, and makeup. I can reach in and grab my driver's license or credit card quickly. I can wear it over the shoulder or cross-body. Good looking, good quality. I have worn out two of these purses so far, and I'm thinking about buying a third.

I love this bag so much I had to write a review. I have been wanting a backpack purse for ages. There are so many on Amazon , but not all are made with genuine leather. This bag hits all the marks for me. It is easy to carry as either a handbag, crossbody bag, or backpack. It has ample room in two compartments. It's also got a built in wallet for your cards, etc. Love this purchase !!! I highly recommend. I have always wanted to purchase a bag from "The Sak" and I'm so glad this is the one I chose.

This was a cute little bag, perfect size too! But the strap was horribly made. I like to wear my backpack on one shoulder but it’s not possible with this one, the strap is one long piece. I could’ve cut it off and attached others, but when spending that kind of money it needs to be more functional

This bag is everything you want in a small purse/sachel. It can be worn crossbody or as a mini backpack. Very versatile. I’ve actually had this over a year and it has held up very well. It is used for everyday use and I have had no issues.

Looks good. Holds things with various pockets. Nice construction and leather. The straps easily get twisted. Strap started to tear (see photo) after about 6 months but my wife loves the purse otherwise.

I didn't love the stitching on this bag. I don't believe that the quality matched the price.

It’s the perfect non bulky size! Lightweight and very versatile!
