I just ordered my second box. I like that these are in individual blister packs. They are on the larger side but have no bad taste. I do think they have improved mood but not so sure about sleep quality, focus, or energy level. I like them enough to continue to take them though. This brand was one of the more reputable ones I found.

I used to be really depressed. I'm not just being flip ... I've been seeing a psychiatrist for about a decade, more off than on in the past two years. I was super depressed. I decided to NOT take anti-depression meds because I wanted to be sure what I was feeling was authentic and because I had tried them in the past unsuccessfully. Through a lot of hard work and patience from my family, friends and doctor, I don't have a diagnosis of depression anymore. I'm a very happy person now!Having said all that LOL ... I still suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) in the winter. I live in a very cloudy city and used to live in a very sunny city. A couple three years ago, I was mentioning this to an older woman and she said "I can help but you have to hear me out." Of course, I was intrigued. She told me about SAMe. I asked her how she found out and she said "A shaman told me." Okay. This person is the LEAST likely person to go see a shaman for anything anywhere but she had run into one on a vacation and he told her to try it. She figured what did she have to lose?Your blues, that's what.So, I got a pack of SAMe, not this brand, kept it in my car and took one every day on my way to work. One day, out of no where, I was like hey, I feel good. GOOD!! I continue to take them until summer rolled around. Once the days start getting shorter, I start taking them again.Since then, they have gone up in price substantially all over. And then you also run the risk of not getting the dosage you need or getting something that upsets your stomach or whatever.So far, I haven't had any trouble with this brand. I feel good. I feel mentally even-keeled, it does seem to help my ever-present joint pain and I just feel BETTER overall when I take SAMe. I have recommended it to many friends and will continue to do so. I was worried about this brand because I read so many people got upset stomachs. I've been fine and my stomach gets upset if I take OTC pain relievers.These are not the magic pill. You can't just take one and everything will be okay. For some people I've talked to, it takes a month or two. For me, it took about a month to really feel the effects the first time. Once I got on my seasonal rotation, it seems to take less time to even out from the SAD effects.The instructions on this pack suggest one a day but say some people might find another one a day beneficial. This is inline with what other brands suggest. I've never had to take more than one a day.There is a warning not to take these if you are bi-polar or maniac depressive or if you are taking prescription anti-depressants. This is something you should talk to your doctor about.There are some side effects, you can find them by doing a web search, but they are rare. YMMV of course.The price on these is VERY reasonable. This is a three-month supply. Unless you have to up the dosage for the first month or two ...It's one thing to give five stars to a sweater or some a kitchen gadget or something but when it comes to something that goes in your body, I think it's important to know if other people have had success. I have had success with this product. I'm going to look to see if I can put it on subscribe and save. It sits by my computer and I take one every morning with my coffee. Sometimes I eat right away, other days I don't. No tummy issues :)

Our Vet suggested SAMe and Milk Thissle for our dog - seemed to help so my wife and i gave it a try. Really obvious improvement in our wellbeing ... we feel better and have a better general mood. Don't really know about the milk thissle product but its supposed to improve kidney function? In short, both of us HIGHLY recommend SAMe......

I first took SAM-e for mood when I was in my early 20s. As I've gotten older I started taking it again for mood as well as for spinal stenosis, overall joint pains, pre and post operative hip and knee issues.This SAM-e worked effectively for its cost, so I had a subscription for it. I was a loyal customer to this brand since 2021. I was very satisfied... until my last purchase of it.I had been buying the 90 count package for the best savings. That one box can often last over 3 months because I'll miss a dose probably every other week just due to forgetting during busy days.About 3 weeks ago I finally popped the first pill out of a bubble card from my most recently purchased package. Immediately there was a foul aroma. I thought maybe someone, at the same time, had opened one of the exterior doors and the scent of a distant skunk got in the house. No, it was the pill. I threw it out thinking it must be a fluke. I opened another bubble. Same thing! At this point I wondered if it was just that particular card I was holding. I took one pill and then another from random areas of each card.Every pill smells JUST like skunk... I had others sniff to confirm that my nose wasn't just going haywire. They recoiled and quickly agreed.This was not how they smelled with previous orders.Now I wanted to figure out what to do. I only take one a day, they're expensive no matter what brand you go with. l just spent $40 on this purchase so I had already used what I had budgeted to get my SAM-e for the next 3 months. I did not have money to get more right away.I looked around online to find information on SAM-e stinking. Most sources said if it has a foul smell it is probably past its prime, but none described the smell I experienced. The description of old SAM-e I found was more like sulfer. Maybe a skunk just got in to where they're produced...?People and animals sprayed by skunks survive with the main side effect, if any, being nausea. I skipped my dose that day and left all the pills I had popped out in the bottom of the box to air out.Since skunk is a very distinct smell, I figured it must have just been a bad day at the factory.The next day I gave the loose pills a sniff. No skunk smell. With this method working, I decided I'd proceed until I could get a replacement box.That lasted just about a week before I HAD to stop taking it.I became extremely gassy, and it was AWFUL! My 4th grader happened to be coming into my room shortly after I passed wind and, after a moment, began dry heaving from the smell.My dog started vacating my room when I would fart and my cats stopped sleeping on my bed at night.Not only that, but I was having crying spells again and ached all over as if I weren't taking it.I did try contacting Nature's Trove through their direct website, explaining the stink and requesting a replacement, but I got no response.I was hoping this was just a one-off they would correct with a fresh box.
