Great piece and tested against many higher priced with great accuracy. If using led lights this is a must have tool for leaf surface temp checking. Can burn with to much light or not supply enough heat

Just like all other Inkbird products I've used, this just plain works. No setup needed to begin using this non-contact thermometer. I checked its accuracy to my inkbird probe with some chicken I was cooking and the infrared thermometer was within 0.5 F.

Got this one to shoot temps on my heat press, Reads the press platen +15 F over what i had it set to.Oh man is my press off by that much??No, did a check of the temp gun:Ice water showed to be 61 FBoiling water was 230 FThe inside of my New fridge was 58 F (set to 37F)And I apparently have a 115F fever according to this temp gun ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

By first appearance the packaging and instructions are attractive and easy to follow. The box is soft on the eyes and easy to read. The thermometer needs two AA batteries installed to operate. The battery installation is a little confusing but I figured it out eventually. Ease of access is pretty simple and self explanatory. Taking temperatures at a distance was less accurate than it was at closer distances. Having the red laser eye made it easier to see and be more accuratewhen taking a temp. at a distance. It is nice that you dont have to re press the trigger over and over to take a new temp. The most accurate distance to take a temp. is from 1.5 ft -3.5 ft. I found using the gun in the bathroom and kitchen was most helpful. My 8 year old daughter was able to understand and use the Inkbird Infrared Thermometer. She was able to understand and operate it with little to no supervision. If my famiy or friends were looking for an Infrared Thermometer I would recommend this one for sure.

Compared to another brand, this thing is better in ALL aspects. The form factor of how it fits in your hand and the plastic it’s built with is extremely durable and sturdy. Nothing is loose fitting. On top of that, It was calibrated right out of the box and was ready to use. It also has a pretty fast response after you click the button for a reading.I don’t really have anything negative to say about it. It’s a great product as usual from Inkbird.
