Van der Graaf Generator in the 1970s: Decades

On first examination, the book looks very interesting. As to many of the photos of album covers, this seems unnecessary, would have preferred more photos of the band. As a long term fan, am obviously familiar with the album covers, so bit pointless really. Is a shame the band are not ones to write books themselves. At least it is in English, as many books on the band are in Italian etc. This limits sales. Along with Soft Machine, best band ever.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and devoured it in one session. Most of narratives are well known but there is enough (new to me) to satisfy any devoted fan. Two small factual errors popped out at me however; firstly Foel Studios is not, by any geographical stretch, near Monmouth and secondly Norton Canon is in Herefordshire not Hertfordshire
