I'm a big guy and if I cinch the belt tight enough to hold my pants up, it will cut off circulation and the buckle (and I've tried every kind of buckle) will cut into me when I sit. It's painful. If I'm sitting at my desk at work for extended periods of time it leaves painful bruises. If I loosen the belt so I can sit comfortably, I better remember to cinch it tighter when I get up or my pants will be around my ankles. The Beltbro keep your pants up but they put a lot of pressure on two belt loops and gather the material in on my trousers that makes them feel odd and uncomfortable.

Like many of you who decided to ditch the belt, I’ve tried many different types of suspenders and now I’ve tried the Belt Bro. I wish the Belt Bro worked better for me but it’s back to hidden suspenders for me. The Belt Bro pulls your two front belt loops together to keep your pants up. In theory it seems simple and effective. In reality the Belt Bro puts a lot of strain on your belt loops and will make your pants bunch up around your pocket area. I did find myself pulling up my pants quite a bit, not as much as a regular belt but it was quite annoying after wearing suspenders for a few months. The Velcro on the Belt Bro does tend to dig in a little if you don’t line it up properly which also defeats the purpose of ditching the belt, I’m about 250lbs so it may not be the case for thinner people. So far every belt & belt alternative have their down sides. Suspenders tend to dig into my neck but keep my pants right where I want them. Belt Bro is a step above a belt but I worry about the longevity of my belt loops and I don’t want to keep adjusting my pants. And we all know regular belts SUCK.
