Did exactly what I bought it for , clean crimp 0/3 which i then added heat shrink to seal it up looks great .

A crimper that works
Once properly assembled the tool performed well. While a bit heavy, it does positively crimp cables.

Powerful
If you need to crimp something, or many somethings, this is your tool. It creates a nice even crimp on terminals. Hammer crimps work but they put the crimp pressure on one spot, this crimps all the way around.

Didn’t even get one crimp made with it and blew a seal. It was cheap but I expected it to work at least one time.

It works great. I use it for cable crimps and I’ve had zero issues with it.

OK if you use anvils one size smaller than the size of your lugs and cable
Bought this to put ends on battery cables but thought I'd have to return it when no amount of pressure I could put on the included size 4/0 anvils sufficiently compressed my 4/0 copper battery lugs around the stripped ends of 4/0 copper cable. No matter how much I squeezed the handles of the hydraulic crimping tool, the unserted lug was not compressed enough to hold the wire and keep it from falling out. Worse, the lower anvil bent so much it had to be pried out.Up against a time deadline, I tried the next size smaller anvils, the ones labeled "3/0" on my 4/0 lugs and cables. It WORKED!

Cheap and does the job. Some of the dies are a little slack and I've found it better to use the next size down. there's no pressure trip or indication that a full crimp has been achieved so this is left to the users judgement. they are perfect to cart about in the van for crimping smaller lugs, the kit is good and compact with a sturdy case. I use my branded set for the bigger stuff but they take up a lot of room.I did find a circlip had either pinged off or was never fitted. not the end of the world.
