Jack Slack is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the fight game and is able to provide a detailed analysis which is accessible even to the casual fight fan, who will come away with a greater appreciation for the intricacies of the sport.

Great book if you want to understand the fundamentals of mixed martial arts. The book reflects less on McGregor the person, the showman ship and hype, and more on his fighting style and how it translated to his success in MMA.

This story is amazing. I read about how much effort he put to become the greatest fighter on earth. Incredible!!!

I bought two used ones for the men in my family for Christmas. Both loved it and they never knew I bought them used! Perfect conditions.

This is a must read. Jack Slack's writing makes you a better fight fan by developing a deeper understanding of the game.

Conor McGregor is the biggest superstar the young sport of MMA has ever known. A brash trash talker with a cannon for a left hand and a way of proving his critics wrong. Jack Slack is the best MMA writer around and my favourite sports writer. Notorious looks at the rise of Ireland's favourite son through the lens of each of his fights.Each fight gets broken down blow-by-blow and it's more an examination of Mixed Martial Arts and its evolution than just a book about McGregor. A fantastic book that is a must for any MMA fan or student of the Martial Arts.

I've been following Slacks work for several years now, and this is one of his greatest pieces.A fascinating view into the rise of one of the greatest stars of MMA ever, at least in terms of popularity, and into the MMA world in general.

Ich bin eher unzufrieden. Das Buch wirkt mehr wie ein oberflächlicher Bericht statt einer Biographie. Allerdings gefielen mir die Insider zum Kampfsport an sich ganz gut, die immer mal wieder im Buch auftauchen. Wer etwas über McGregor erfahren will, was er noch nicht weiß ist hier falsch. Wer generell über den MMA-Sport lernen will dem empfehle ich das Buch

He gives Conor credit where it's due for his exceptional talents whilst acknowledging plenty of the controversies that surround 'The Notorious' Conor. It covers all the topics I wish people understood about McGregor but don't have the time to tell them!It's an exceptional read. The chapter on the Nate Diaz rematch was particularly thrilling and managed to bring back some of the nerves of watching the fight live.

Must be good the Mrs has got half way through it in 2 days 🤷‍♀️
