Passionate About Penguins (About Animals)

Owen Davey does a fantastic job on this series. The artwork is unique and the knowledge that his series emparts is excellent. My children love his books and I can't wait for more.

This book combines attractive graphic design with thoughtful scientific fact! I appreciated the thought behind the flow of the book and the well-researched content. Maybe not a good flow for a read-aloud but a good read-along book. My students love this book and fought over who got read it first.

I always look forward to another book in Owen Davies’ animal series. I have given them to my grandchildren, but always have them sent to me so I can read them first. And I learn so much! The graphics are superb!

I love this book and will read it again and again. I read this book and was fascinated to know that it has so many interesting penguin facts. Like facts on their love life, facts about outmaneuvering an orca, facts about their feathers and how they are able to stand their feathers on end and how they are able to hold their feathers against their bodies. I also learned that penguins not only eat fish, octopus, squid and krill but they are also able to eat eels, seahorses and jellyfish. And Chinstrap penguins are the grumpiest of all the penguins. Such an amazing book! A Good read!
