Pots show mold
Planted around 20 Coleus cuttings in their pots to grow during the winter months ahead. Several pots (about half) started showing large black mold spots on the pot sides. Not good. I tossed them all and transferred plants to Jiffy Pots which work well. I'll use those and have ordered more of them.

These seem to have a substantial amount of wood fiber and glue. I have noticed a comment about mold and that is what you would expect from wood pulp. These dont seem to break apart as quickly as true Jiffy peat pots. I suggest making sure the pots are kept constant moist. Then plant them before roots get bound along with poking holes in the wall for roots to escape. Jiffys seem to just melt on their own

Catch mold very easily
These cups are incredibly prone to catching molds as they don't dry out without additional ventilation. I ended up just using plastic containers and the plants fare way better in those. Will not use these again as they almost killed multiple of my seedlings.

Too thin , cannot take liquid without falling apart.
I don't expect a lot out of peat pots but this was ridiculous. Any amount of water and the bottom falls out. Try to poke a plant in one and the sides fall off. They are the thinnest I have ever used.
