I used this product for several months, and began noticing my MacBook Pro would just start shutting down automatically at random times (the screen would go black and I would have a difficult time getting the system back up, and yes, the battery was adequately charged when it would happen). I researched the issue online and found all sorts of potential causes--mostly hardware malfunctions. One day I happened to pull off the keyboard cover and noticed the underside of the cover, the plastic material, was exceedingly hot. So, the story I'm telling myself is that the MacBook Pro must achieve some level of ventilation through the keyboard. I removed the cover and I have not had my laptop shut down unexpectedly since, and I have waited for 2 months to write this to help assure that it was in fact the cover causing the issue. The frequency with which it was occuring with the cover on was multiple times per month.There are sources online that state, and some rather convincingly, that the keyboard is not a source of heat dispersion for the MacBook. I am unable to convince myself that there was another cause, so like most things, there must be an exception to the rule.2 Stars because I'm not 100% certain the cover caused this issue, but 2 months and counting without the problem once the cover was removed.Good luck!

I've always used keyboard protectors. It is true that they make typing a little bit more difficult, but I think that's a small price to pay for the added protection of getting anything in your keyboard. I've cleaned out office keyboard before and it's disgusting. I feel much better knowing that there's very little getting under my keys. This one seems to be about equal to the other covers I've used as far as hindering typing. You'll notice it at first, but it's not much, and you get used to it really quickly, and before you know it you'll barely notice it.I've only been using mine for about two weeks and already the space bar is starting to warp from use. My last cover (from a different company) lasted me five years with minimal warping on the space bar. The color on this one is also starting to fade on my most used keys. The nice solid color in the picture is not how your keys will look in a few weeks.UPDATE: There's almost no gold left on this. It's just greyish blackkish clear now and very ugly. The space bar is super stretched, even though I never take it off the keys. And lots of the other keys are starting to get stretchy and weird. Spend a little more money and get one that'll keep it's shape and color longer!

I just purchased one of these in "Transparent" for my MacBook Air. It fits the keyboard really well. I have only been using it for a couple of days so far, but I like it. My only complaint is that I think moisture from my fingertips is being pulled through to the keys beneath the protector. Primary keys effected ar E, R, T, Y, A, S, D, F, C, B, I, P, K, L, ;, and the spacebar which are probably the most used keys. I am worried about this because if moisture is allowed to go through, I am afraid it will eventually start to wear off the printed letters on the keys. If it were not for this one problem, I would rate it at least four stars and maybe even five.

Not well made, and definitely does not fit Macbook Pro keyboard correctly. This was the first keyboard cover I bought for the new laptop. I hoped it would "flatten out" and fit more tightly over time - didn't. Fits only part of the keys part of the time - you get to choose which ones at any moment. It blurs the rest of them and makes typing difficult. The plastic is thick and interferes with feeling the underlying keys. I threw this away and got a Lention that is much better made and fits the keyboard perfectly, and was a few cents cheaper!

I have to admit that I've returned this as I ended up using a different skin, but this one appeared to be just as good as the one I ended with. fit was perfect on my 1501A laptop. I'd ordered the transparent and the keys were clearly visible and the silicon was quite thin and flexible. obviously I couldn't evaluate durability, but I didn't perceive this to be a risk.

This keyboard skin fits my good 'ole MacBook (13") Pro and adds some neat color! I ordered the "romantic blue" color and feel that the color is true to the photo, I love it! The item was delivered when stated, and I feel that the packaging was appropriate for keeping this keyboard cover straight. It wasn't too difficult to lay this over my keyboard, as it lines up well with the keys. My only issue is that it does make my typing just slightly noticeably louder, however I will say that the more I use my keyboard, the better it seems that the keyboard skin is forming to my keys which makes me less aware of it being there (it doesn't feel as though it's in the way of my keys). I was a little worried initially that this would annoy me more than it is, as I'm a college student and type a lot in class, but this cover feels pretty thin whilst maintaining durability, and I highly doubt that other skins would allow for no change in typing sounds. I know too many people with destroyed laptops due to spills, and I feel as though added protection (and also some awesome keyboard colors) is worth the slightly louder typing. Also, the keyboard lighting still works great through this skin!

Not thrilled with this this but for the money I didn't return it. It doesn't fit down on the keys as tightly as I would have liked and feels as if there's a bubble on the keyboard. I like not having junk getting all over but I don't like the errors I'm making....and I was making enough of them before adding this. I'm sure someone will tell me I haven't put it on correctly but there's just something about the stickiness and the whole feel of the cover that I don't like. Oh well it might be nice for someone else but it doesn't feel right for me.
