Simple and works
After I ruined my baking cheese cloth trying to make Greek yogurt with my Instant Pot, I purchased this. So much easier! I like that it was durable and yet not stiff. I even threw it in the dishwasher! I love making yogurt at home for my little kids and this was a big help!

Use paper coffee filters
I can't find the right sized container to place the bag.I wanted something more convenient and somehow better than using paper coffee filters lining the bottom of a colander.Compared to coffee filters this product takes much longer to strain and it doesn't come close to the effectiveness. In 4-6 hours I can use coffee filters to strain freshly made yogurt into cheese. In the same time the strainer bag produces yogurt with the consistency of creamy salad dressing.Clean-up is messy and plenty goes to waste.

Love this!
This is awesome. Much easier than cheese cloth... however... cleaning it is the trick. I wish there were a design with a unscrewable spout that way you could squeeze out all the yogurt from the bottom.

then cool down 2-3 hours
Not sure if its something I am doing incorrectly, or I purchased the wrong product for what I'm trying to do. I make yogurt in the slow cooker method, 2 hour low heat, then cool down 2-3 hours, add yogurt culture, then insulate and wait overnight. I get a smooth and creamy yogurt, not very thick at all, and hardly any whey visible. My normal method of straining is using a colander lined with coffee filters and then strain overnight. I attempted to us this Strainer Bag and the yogurt went right through it as if it wasn't even there. I figured the yogurt wasn't thick enough. So I made another batch, and made sure it was thicker. Although slower, it allowed the yogurt and whey to strain through. I was hoping I did something different in my yogurt making and maybe even my normal method would not work. But I again lined a strainer with coffee filters and filled with both batches of yogurt I had made, and its currently straining out only the whey.. So I'm figuring this product is not good for straining the type of yogurt I make. Otherwise the bag is a decent size, I think for my needs I need something bigger since I make a gallon at a time and I think this might be just at the limits of holding a gallon.

worked great!
I used it as soon as it arrived because I had just finished making a batch of yogurt in my instant pot. The bag did a wonderful job of producing rich Greek yogurt.

Not for yogurt
Might be okay for cheese but for Greek yogurt it is a complete FAIL. Terrible design, you can’t get yogurt out of this thing without getting it all over your hands. Stupid drawstring on the inside of the bag. Wasteful too. Sorry I wasted money on this thing.

Worked awesome! I left my yogurt to strain for a few days and it was perfect, almost like a cream cheese consistency.
