These are very tasty. They hydrate and cook very easily. I just grab a handful, put them in a bowl and cover with water then microwave for 3.5 minutes to hydrate. Then I drain out any excess water before putting them in a hot pan with oil. Cooks up nicely every time.

For years I've eaten these dehydrated hash browns at the local Waffle House. Like so many other people. Because this is what they serve. 6 Large 2lb Packs of these are enough to feed a small Army. These are very simple and quick to prepare and cook. Purchasing these at the single rate they are rather expensive, but under the subscription program I found this deal, for the pack of 6, 2.125 lb packs. Which is a great deal. Again, this is enough to feed a small army, but these won't go bad. Plus you can share with family. If you haven't tried Amazon's subscription program yet, and checked out prices for larger quantity items, I urge all to do so. I love this stuff, this brand is much cheaper than hungry jack brand, and I find no difference in the taste, de-hydrated potato is a de-hydrated potato, I throw a chunk of butter on 'em cook on medium heat, with these big cartons I re-hydrate 2 cups at a time, cook half, throw the other have in a covered bowl, put in the fridge for later use, trust me,they WON'T grow back into a potato, don't forget the butter, if you wanna clog a artery, this will help. I eat these with everything except ice cream.

I've been eating these and this style hash brown my entire life. So many possibilities and so easy to make delicious. You do not need to make entire carton at one time. Fill the bottom of your pan, completely cover taters with HOT water, add butter or I prefer bacon grease. Stir in salt, pepper, and let soak for 20-30 min. (1-2 stirs, over soak time, will help spread butter or grease) Fry on medium high. Don't worry if you add to much water, it will cook out. May take a few tries to perfect but you will not be sorry. Best hash Browns in the world! Great for breakfast bakes too! So good....
