Wow this bag holder is awesome ! You simply open it up and swing out the legs to make a cross. They stay put and stand on the counter, holding up your bags beautifully, but didn't worry about it falling over. It did take a little effort to fold the gallon bag edges over the holder legs, but it didn't take long & worked perfectly. I would suggest that you fold over the zipper edges of the bag first, then put the bag on the holder and slip the folded edges over the holder legs. It came in handy recently when I was reorganizing my freezer. I had multiple bags of the same product and was able to use this holder to consolidate them into one, as well as filling bags for new items for the freezer. I was only able to use regular zipper bags, but was not able to use my vacuum sealer bags because they didn't open wide enough. When you are done using it, simply fold the legs flat and store in a drawer or cabinet. You will wonder what you did without it. I only have one, but I highly recommend them.

It seemed pretty flimsy when I first started using it but it works really well as long as you fold the top of the bag over the arms. If you are filling it with liquid you have to be sure the bag doesn’t come off the arms.

You have to roll the edge of the zipper bag twice to make it stay under the edge, and it is a bit tippy, but it is already indispensable. We use it regularly. I like how we'll it folds up. Would buy again.

I use this in my kitchen, mostly as a trash bag for produce trimmings. I use the inexpensive food/bread storage bags (no zipper) and when I am prepping a meal, leave it on my counter to catch peelings and scraps. When the meal is done, the bag easily goes into the trash. I think it also would be great as a table top trash catcher for paper crafting crops, quilting bees, etc.

We liked this so much, we immediatley bought a quart-size. It's much better than one person trying to hold the bag while the other pours. Game changing.

I process and freeze produce in the summer and fall which is far easier than canning for most things. I can freeze berries or grapes on a cookie sheet then store them in a gallon bag and take what I want for smoothies all year. Roasting pie pumpkins for pies, ice cream, smoothies or muffins is great since it's super easy and because the little pie pumpkins are sweeter than whatever they use for canned pumpkin, you don't need as much sugar. I freeze other things in quart bags and have a holder for those, but although that unit supposedly works for gallon bags it's not as good as this one that holds them more steady and more open. This is a useful product. Stores flat in my pan lid drawer and opens easily for use when filling the bags.By the way, about roasting pumpkin, all you have to do is quarter them and put the pieces on a cookie sheet at 350 until very tender. When cool, you can easily scoop out the seeds with a big spoon and peel off the skin. So easy, it's silly to buy pumpkin in a can.

It helps when filling bag when you need an extra hand, prevents me from spilling as I fill, like that I use it to dry used bags after washing them, put them upside down on corner pegs, same for water bottles
