Enjoyable and fast paced. Jeremy Robinson keeps the story moving along with lots of action and killing. Kenyon needs to die

Solidly better than the first book. Very well done.
Feast is the second book in the “Hunger” series by Jeremiah Knight (Jeremy Robinson). This book picks up the story where the first book left off. Peter, Anne, Ella, Alia, and Jakob continue to fight their way across the country on their way to Boston in an attempt to reverse the effects of the DNA altering gene RC-714. After a beginning that read very much like the first book, this one takes a sharp turn when our group comes to a little settlement called “Hellhole”. Our group is there to retrieve a husband and wife scientist team they hope can aid in the reversal of the RC-714. What they discover once there however, is that the Exogen monsters living outside of the compound may not be their biggest threat. The real monster may live inside of the Hellhole compound.I was somewhat critical of the first book in this series because I felt the story was weaker than it could have been. There were lots of genetically mutated monsters, lots of guns and explosions, but not a lot of plot or depth. The book wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t something to get excited about either. This second episode is different. It is solidly better than the first. Robinson in this one has created genuine tension and fear for the characters as he weaves the plot through the depths of Hellhole. Mason, this books primary antagonist, is absolutely evil and his presence in the story serves to ratchet the fear factor up quite a bit. The other thing that Robinson did in this book that sets it apart is the masterful way he brought all of the different plot lines together at one time. The first book felt very one dimensional, but this one was much more complex. With the Woolie attack, the return of the Exogen choppers, Mason and his perverted evil, and a massive apex predator, Robinson brings all of his genius to bare on our heroes at one time. And as this all plays out, you as the reader realize just how expertly each aspect of the conclusion was laid out.Once the dust finally settles and you have the chance to catch your breath, Robinson adds a short epilogue to the story and in doing so, calls into question the motives and loyalty of a main character. It adds an additional level of anticipation for the final installment of the series. This book is superior to the first in the series in every way. It’s a great read. Well done.

SO GOOD but book 3 doesn't look likely to happen so there's no ending.
It is SUCH a good series. I was so excited to read the third one when I found out there is no third one and isn't likely to be. What a bummer. I love his books and this was going to be one of my favorites...but alas, like another reviewer, I cannot recommend because you're going to be extrememly bummed out by the fact there is no ending. Such a shame.

Stellar follow up!
I hate to sound like a movie pitchman, but Feast, the second book in the Hunger series, is a full-throttle nonstop thrill ride of a novel. Picking up shortly after the end of the first book, we continue to follow Peter Crane and his family as they struggle to survive in the horrifying reality of a world that's been transformed by genetic modification, where just eating the food around you can have devastating and deadly effects. As scary as the world seemed in the first book, Robinson really takes it up a notch as he introduces us to several new and terrifying creatures that are stalking our small band of survivors, as well as adding a number of rather surprising cast members that I didn't see coming. The story really is constant action and I loved every minute of it. (listened to it nearly nonstop) And the ending has me very excited for the next installment, which can't come soon enough!

Page-turning, glued to your seat, thrill ride.
From character development to world building, Jeremy Robinson does a phenomenal job at putting the reader right in the thick of things. ExoGen creatures bring no small amount of nail biting terror as our heroes and heroines do their utmost to to survive in a world that LITERALLY wants to eat you. Surprises at every turn keep bringing more and more intrigue and interest and a drive to make it to the end. If you're looking for something to truly bring you into a gripping world, than look no further than FEAST, preceded by HUNGER. Check them out!!

Phenomenal read!
Post-Apocalyptic fans rejoice!! Jeremiah Knight is back with Feast, the second book in the Hunger series, and it's EPIC. As a huge fan of Jeremy Robinson, AKA Jeremy Bishop & Jeremiah Knight, I expected to love this book. What I didn't expect was to be so transported by the story that I was surprised when I looked up to find myself in the real world instead of the one Knight created. A world filled with pulse pounding excitement and heart stopping moments of terror as Peter, Ella, Jakob, Anne and Alia try to save what's left of the human race. The ExoGenetic creatures are terrifying but the truly horrific monsters are human. The level of depravity in Hellhole Bay was also, unfortunately, all to realistic. The characters are believable and easy to root for or against. Some of them surprised me, turning out to be unexpected allies. I can't wait to find out more about them and what is waiting down the road for Peter and his family. I highly recommend this phenomenal 5 star read.

Very good at writing action- easy for me to visualize. Mr. Robinson, I hope that the third book is in the works. Bravo.

Great read, but...
Thoroughly enjoyed reading books 1 and 2 in this series. The science is plausible and the non-stop action makes for an exciting read. It's a good, fun read. The only down side is that book 2 ends with the setup for book 3 and book 3 does not look likely to appear. It's been 4 years since book 2 was published and book 3 is in "research" according to the author web site. With so many books being produced, I suspect book 3 will never see the light of day, so the ending is a bit of a let down for those of us wanting a conclusion to a story.Well worth reading, just don't expect a clean or conclusive finish to the story.
