Good Guide for Learning Chinese in a Structured Approach
I'm using the HSK Standard Course books as my guide map to learning Chinese. I follow these books to learn vocabulary and grammar rules. I supplement my learning by creating Anki flash cards for each HSK level as I progress using the vocabulary in these books. Additionally, I signed up for the Zero to Hero course which has lessons following these books. To further my learning, I use Chinese Graded Readers such as chinesegradedreader dot com, and mandarinbean dot com. MandarinBean mixes in some words from higher HSK levels as it's hard to write stories using only HSK 1 or 2. ChineseGradedReader strictly adheres to HSK 1 and 2 vocabulary making reading easier (stories seem to be added weekly to this site). Practicing the reading has really helped me to learn the words and how to use them. Oh, I also use an app called Duolingo which helps me with my listening skills. Learning Chinese isn't easy, but as I get further along it does seem to get easier. A piece of advice from the Zero to Hero course has stuck with me and helped a lot, he recommends learning the words like you learn people's faces - the Anki flash cards has helped greatly with this (when I create my flashcards I include the radicals and components for each word which helps to make sense of the character and recognize it).

Best Chinese Textbook I have seen, and I have looked at a lot of them.
Manageable dialogs, translation and pronunciation are right there. The content aligns with the most important tests. another book has convoluted dialogs that don't make sense in any language.. This one has short dialogs that are to the point and clearly demonstrate the grammar points and new vocabulary. The audio materials are good. My copy came with a CD. There is a QR code to get online audio files. The instructions are in English and Chinese, which means that we gradually get introduced to instructions and have more content to review so we can actually be ready for the higher level classes that are in 100 percent chinese. One thing that would be nicer is if there were hand written examples of the characters. I still can't read (well) what real chinese people write on blackboards and with ballpoint pens, but this is a super common problem. I am using ISBN 978-7-5619-3726-6

Book in terrible condition on arrival
This "new" book looks like it went through a shredder. The bottom right corner is completely ripped, and there are many rips, dents, and other damages on the cover and first/last few pages. Everything else is fine, but I've never had a book arrive so messed up.

No pinyin support whatsoever!
Beware! There is absolutely no pinyin to support the reading of Chinese characters.
