If you have plants in your tank this stuff here is really great keeping your water clear and won’t hurt your plants

I'm currently running 6 tanks from 5-150 gallon. This stuff works GREAT on all the tanks. Plants are fine and the water is crystal clear. Give it a few days to really make the water clear. It'll make your tank POP.I'll keep this stuff on hand as long as I'm in the hobby.

I have kept planted aquariums for over 19 years and Chemi-pure Green allows me to use a specialized type of carbon resin to filter my aquarium water without stripping my water column of the nutrients which are essential for the health of my plants. I strongly recommend this product to anyone who has a planted tank.

I will never be out of Chemi-pure green. If you have a planted tank and want a long lasting solution for crystal clear water, tannin removed and odor eliminated then you just found the product of your dreams. I hated the tannin in my tank. It was so saturated the light couldn’t penetratate to even past the top one third of water. My plants began to look leggy as they reached for the light. I finally found this and put one in the last stage of filtration. The next morning I found the beautiful tank I’de Worked so hard to put together.

I have not used carbon since i started planted aquariums. I started using this and the water cleared up nicely in about 2 days on my 55g. I have not noticed any difference in plant growth in my low tech tank. But that's a good thing. I would not expect this to act like any kind of fertilizer so if the plants are still growing the same, then it's obviously doing its job and not removing the things plants need, yet still keeping the water clear.

Works very well at getting you crystal clear water but after a few days it's essentially useless and cannot be refreshed. While Purigen doesn't give you as crystal clear of water, the fact is can be used over and over really makes the difference in cost.

Not one who writes reviews but thought why not if it helps anyone in the hobbyGood stuff. Keeps the water crystal clear. It does take good 2 to 3 days to clear up. You still do need to do water changes but it helps increase the time needed to do that change. Keeps water crystal clear, reduces nitrates (yes have been monitoring this) but do make it a point to not overuse it as it can have reverse effects so make it a point to change every 2 months.
