Stove Gasket Kit

Great kit. Affordable. So far working perfectly. On my old stove. Before, Sometimes smoke would bellow out around the door when lighting the stove or backdrafts. So i installed this kit this morning and let the silicone cure a bit before lighting the stove. The first hour with the door wide open than the remaining cure time with door closed(door may struggle to close at first until a new groove is worn into the gasket) once i lit the stove the gasket made a nice inlay for a good seal. Note i put the cut rope side to the hinges (as thats the most clamping force) and also 45• cut both sides of the rope so it would overlap itself like a scarf joint in trim work. Instead of using that silly tape they supply. (Picture are before new gasket was installed) note the discoloration on the pellet stove door. Thats where heat and smoke was escaping before reseal)

Great kit . The tape helps a lot to keep the ends from fraying. Easy install and no leaks. The glue included was great compared to the liquid cement.

Dads gasket broke what can I say but excellent gasket and the glue works like it should. Ordered another just to have on hand when ours wears out.

Good product. Read from other products online. Made best decision for use of this product. Removed stove door, removed old gasket, used rubbing alcohol to final clean, let dry, layer out new gasket to check size before cut and before glue, made cut about 1/4" longer, used rubber gloves to put on glue inside door, pressed gasket, used supplied tape to wrap ends, placed door on flat surface, gasket facing up, placed few magazines and few books to put pressure on gasket as it dried. Allowed to dry 12-24 hrs in 70-80 degrees room. Used next day, working perfect. Using everyday no issues.

Fit good works well easy to install

Seems to be working fine on my airtight stove. Solidly woven and dense. My application required me to cut it since my stove has two doors and it did not fray all up. There was enough gasket cement to lay down a good bead on both doors.

Quality and fit seems to be good. Time will tell how well it holds up to use. Came with plenty of adhesive to install and was easy to work with.
