Japanese Incense Kaden Family Secret Kobunboku #565 95g by Baieido

This is my favorite of Baieido's Kobunboku incenses. There is sweetness from the Vietnamese aloeswood and sandalwood offset by a beautiful spiciness that leans towards cinnamon. It has sandalwood in the blend as well, which adds to the woodiness and complexity of the fragrance. The #565 size box has about 140 sticks so it's very affordable for an aloeswood incense.

I felt this incense was alright for an average Japanese incense. It seemed to make my apartment smell a little too much like a camping experience. I really like great aloeswood and sandalwood combinations, but I find choosing a higher grade makes a difference. If you like a very woodsy aroma in your dwelling, you may be happy with this scent, however.

next time i think i'll try the spicer version of this--tho kyara from vietnam is used in this it not a major note.

以前、お試し版で頂いた好文木がとてもよい香りだったので注文したのですが、お試し版とは似ても似つかない香りでした。お試し版で頂いたのは、「＃200　微香好文木」 家伝と書かれていたので、似た感じで、更に良い香りなのかと期待したのですが、私の個人的好みとは異なりました。ティートゥリーの様な、キツイ感じの香りです。対して、お試し版で頂いた「＃200　微香好文木」ですと、ほのかに甘い感じの香りです。仕方なく買い直しました。
