Outstanding Quality and Comfort – Perfect Glove for Young Players
The Rawlings R9 Youth Contour FIT Baseball Glove is an exceptional choice for developing players, and the first thing that stands out is the superb leather quality. The glove feels durable yet soft, with a premium break-in feel right out of the box. The contour fit is clearly designed with youth hands in mind—offering a snug, secure fit that helps build confidence on the field. My child was able to open and close the glove comfortably from day one, thanks to the flexible construction and thoughtful design. If you’re looking for a glove that offers top-tier materials, excellent craftsmanship, and long-term performance, this one easily earns top marks. The leather quality alone sets it apart from many other youth gloves in the same price range. Highly recommended.

Great glove. Easy break in.
This R9 Rawlings outfield glove is superb. I bought it for my 8 year old grandson. It is the 12" glove. Break in went well. I beat it, intermittently for 3 days. During the 3 days I used Sarna glove conditioner 2x a day. The Sarna conditioner soaked into the glove easily and the leather became very soft and pliable. The glove is going to last gim for years to come. He is on a 9u kid pitch travel team and the glove works great. No problem for him to open or close the glove on his hand. Would definitely recommend this glove to others.

Excellent youth "real" glove
This is a great glove and it's great for youth looking to get a competitive level baseball glove. The feel of the leather is high quality and durable, yet soft enough to get a good break-in allowing it to close easily for 7yr+ kids. Closing the glove is paramount for youth players.

Excellent quality for the price!
This is an excellent glove for the youth player! Great quality! I bought this glove as an upgrade for my 7 year son. He mainly plays middle infield. He has been playing some outfield in all stars. Works perfectly at the young age. This glove will last a long time with good care. I definitely recommend this glove. Rawlings for life!!!

Great quality glove, but very stiff. Buy at a store
It's a very well made glove, but is stiff and takes A LOT of work to break it in. My 8-year-old can't use it yet and can't break it in himself. I think when you buy from sporting goods stores, they have a machine that loosens it up for you. I may need to go there to get it done.

Premium Glove with a great feel
I purchased this glove for my son who is turning 8. I wanted a high quality glove that he could use for the next few years. I am super impressed with this glove. As soon as I got it I started breaking it in using Youtube search "How to break a glove in with Aso." the glove breaks in easy and I'm sure will continue to get better and better. It has great holes for thumb and pinky for the smaller hands. I got the infield model and its great. My son likes the feel of two fingers in the pinky slot. So this glove is great for that. Some of the other gloves I researched and tried at Dicks seemed to be super stiff and looked hard to break in for youngsters. Just a recommendation when you get it put some time into breaking it in. I just did it watching some Netflix. I don't have a mallet, so I just got a ball and pounded on all the spots in the youtube video. Just chucking a ball in the pocket a ton to soften the leather. Young kids don't throw hard enough to break a glove on there own so as a parent put some time in. I would recommend this glove for a player who wants a really nice glove for a few years. This glove would be great for kids aged 7.5-11.5

Perfect Fit for Youth Hands
The Rawlings R9 Youth Contour Fit baseball glove is a home run for young players! The ContoUR design with smaller hand opening, lowered finger stalls, and adjusted wrist makes it fit my 8-year-old’s smaller hands perfectly. The soft all-leather shell breaks in quickly, reinforced palm pad absorbs impacts well, and it’s super comfortable with padded thumb loop. Best youth glove we’ve owned – highly recommend!

Very nice
I ordered this glove and I also got the "Sure catch" Rawlings glove to compare when I got them shipped. My 8 soon to be 9 is using a 10.5 Misuno right now and the more he's getting into baseball and the more it's getting competitive, you see the importance of getting a quality glove for safety purposes. This glove is super super nice. The leather is very nice and the firmness to the glove is not bad at all. It does need to be broken in. My boy couldn't close the glove but once I start beating up the glove for him and start working it in for him, it'll be just fine. The inside of the glove is luxurious as well. It does look a little big for him, but like I said he's going to be 9 soon and I know the 10.5 is too small for him. The baseball barely fits inside the glove so it was either the 11 or 11.5. After paying 100bux it's better to get him a little bit bigger glove and just have him beat it up for the years to come and have it be the best glove for him.
