This book is a comprehensive discourse in the science of blood banking and blood transfusion services with a focus on the clinical practice guidelines and regulation of the medical laboratory professional majoring in blood banking technology. I found this book very useful for preparing for the MT(ASCP) certification as well as a reference point in everyday practice. It also served as a useful reference when I later changed professions from laboratory science to Nursing.

the product arrived on time. I have had to use this book in my school portion and found it extremely useful so when I went to go and do my clinicals, I decided to buy it. for the price, you get a good, informative text. only problem I could see is that the writing is at a college to master level so it might be a bit hard for someone who is not use to reading written that technically.

This was my textbook for Immunohematology in my MLT program. I found it extremely overwhelming. It is very very good at the details but completely skips the basics. If you have no experience with blood bank principles or techniques, I would suggest a more rudimentary book to get you started.

It's an important blood bank textbook.

This is a very good blood bank book. In college we just used the technical manual for blood bank and it was very confusing, but in my clinical internship we used this book (Harmening) and it was fantastic. It has everything you would ever want to know or need to know about blood bank in it, and it is presented in a way that is very clear and easy to understand.

Very hard to follow and understand. was not helpful and very expensive. I had not worked blood bank in years, probably my lack of understanding for the subject

Best book for students I've found so far because the Technical Manual is more about regulations than testing.
